Perks of starting a second island

Hey guys! So I'm thinking of starting a second island on my brother's switch since I'm done collecting dreamies but I still want to go on nook tours and see other villagers. I wouldn't do any terraforming or get attached in general because I won't have access to it after both our schools go back to in-person classes in August. I'll probably turn it into a cycling town too once the villagers start asking to move out. So what else can I do with a second island?

Pretty much that. Also try to get a different airport color than your main island so you preset items are of a different colors. Different fruit/flowers helps if you're into that.

That's a great idea! I'll definitely keep that in mind when I start. Getting furniture variants would be nice too since my island sells the pink version of most things and I'm just not into that aesthetic

I don't collect/buy furniture that I don't have a use for so my catalog is probably too empty for that unfortunately. But I'm thinking of setting the date to some time in fall (my favorite season) and letting people come over to gather resources

That's another thing, depending on your interest, you might also pick a different hemisphere. Unsure of the pros/cons but it'll definitely be different.

We have a 3rd island that my family share. It's used for cataloging and villager cycling. I have an Audi waiting for me there and that's only my 8th villager.

- access to bugs and fish from a different season
- different seasonal recipes u can give to ur main island
- different seasonal materials

- none rly unless u only like playing in a specific hemisphere
