I've seen a lot of people buying Perfect Fruit baskets of fruit that isn't their native fruit. What is the purpose of this? You can't grow perfect fruit of a non-native type in your town anyway?

Anyone shed some light on this :D?

Different perfect fruit sells for more, I swap baskets of my native fruit for baskets of my friends practically everyday for this reason.

I also collected baskets of every perfect fruit available to use as decoration in my house (I made a garden area in my back room), other people might also want them for that reason.

If a villager asks for fruit or a certain fruit, you have a chance of getting their picture by giving them a perfect.

As Mookie said. Villagers ask for perfect fruits other than your own fairly frequently; or at least mine do. It's nice to have a basket on hand to satisfy the requests. And yes, for a better chance at getting their pic whether your keep them in your village or to increase the chance that when they move they will mail you their pic.

Can I ask... Why would we want villagers pics?? I remember lolly sending me her pic and I thought it was a bit vain. I don't think I could ever have the guts to go up to someone and say "hey I got you a present, a framed picture of me!!!!" Lol! It's a bit erm... Weird.

My villagers don't really ask for perfect fruit, I guess I don't have many snooty villagers! But I would love some perfect fruit trees because I haven't grown one yet and made lots of space for about 20 trees so I better get some soon.

A picture is the highest sign of friendship and therefore worth a lot, both figuratively and literally. It means you've played a lot and you've talked to your villagers a lot. Plus, if you speak to Lyle when you get one, he'll tell you it's worth a lot of HHA points as long as you stay friends.

i love getting their pics! it's nice to remember your friendship with that villager long after they're gone. i guess the whole "here's a pic of me" can be seen as a bit vain but.. i don't really mind :3

also agree with mookie. if they ask for a perfect fruit and your native fruit is peach and you bring them a perfect orange it raises friendship just a bit more than if you bring them a perfect peach.

maybe it's only me, but i like having baskets of perfect fruit on the tables in my house.. i just think it looks cool :>

Ahh I see.. That's really helpful, thank you. I guess I deserve that pic then! I spent all day fetching lolly some medicine when she was sick!! Even made myself get stung by bees so people would give me their medicine haha kind friend.

I don't see the appeal of perfect fruit either lol My native fruit is Cherry and I can't for the life of me grow perfect cherries! One time I stupidly planted perfect apples I had received as a gift. It was only then that I found out you can't grow perfect fruit that is not your native fruit!
