Are cherries your native fruit? Because the only perfect fruit that can grow in your town is your native fruit.
Is your native fruit cherry? If not, it's not gonna grow perfect cherries.
If cherry isn't your native fruit, planting a perfect cherry will only grow you normal cherries.
Ugh, they aren't...
I just wasted a perfect cherry.
