Nah, they are still going up actuallyBefore NH came out, I knew there were specific villagers I had to have, like Kiki, Bluebear, and Clay. I was lucky enough to pull Bluebear from a 3 card pack, but the other two I bought on Ebay from the same seller, Kiki I admittedly paid £16 for but Clay was under £5 so. Pricing obviously depends on how popular the villager is etc, but since people can make amiibos themselves now, I imagine prices for the legit cards might have gone down![]()
Oh wow, I wouldn't have expected that. I think Nintendo did something on Etsy about the fakes, but I imagine they're losing a lot of money from people making and buying the fakes, not that they really need the extra money tbh :L Guessing you want Whitney as part of your island?Nah, they are still going up actuallyeven the fakes are 5$ a pop, unless you find a good seller some cards can still go for a ton (why whitney whyyyy)
No, I know, but every post that followed made some mention of them. Buying homebrew Amiibo coins/stickers/cards is in full support of illegal activity, and it makes no difference if one thinks "scalpers" on eBay charge too much for the officially licensed product.
If one is okay buying or promoting the hacked version, then they're no better than the people on eBay about whom they're complaining.
I used to own her actual card but lost it, and I lost it after I moved her out for Maple XD (maple was a campsite villager, thought it would be fine since I had the card). Went online after that and she was like 20$ minimum for the real card. Nope nope nope.Oh wow, I wouldn't have expected that. I don't think they're scalping, either. I figured putting quotes around the word would have conveyed that.To be honest I believe it is a bit of a stretch to call the prices on eBay scalper prices. The cards are a highly desirable item with limited supply. The most I've ever paid for an Amiibo card is $7, but you can expect to pay up to $20 for Marshal. These are not unreasonable prices given the limited supply of cards.
