Peculiar Trades (Villagers or Otherwise)

I didn't see a thread on this, so I hope this doesn't get deleted.

Today, I arranged a trade with someone. (Well, more of a giveaway.) Sally the Squirrel was leaving my town, and I allowed them to come and pick her up for free. The person ran around my town and main street for a few minutes before coming to talk to Sally. (I don't really mind what anyone does in my town, I haven't decorated or anything. I am a little Plain Jane. <3) So, they spoke to her, and she agreed to move in with him. So, we step out, and he starts dropping bags of bells in front of her house each containing 99K in them. (There were 6 in total.) After they type in all capitals 'NO REFUNDS.' and leave. It made me smile because no one else have ever done that before.

What are some odd trades you have received?

Went to someone's town to give them the bush starts they bought from me, and before I could put any of the bush starts down, they ushered me over to see where Diana had moved in because they were super excited. I mean, I was pretty excited for them, Diana had moved into their town out of the blue and /not in the middle of a path/. I didn't mind that it took more time, really cute tbh. Then, we went back to their train station area and I dropped all of the bushes they'd bought. They gave me the bells for them. Then they lead me to this area where there was a bunch of furniture items, and told me to pick one bc they were randomly giving stuff away. Best trade I've ever done, tbh. Such a polite person (':

Someone got Ken from me and they gave me 5 Blue and Gold Roses along with the 1mil that they said they would pay me <3

Confession: I was probably viewed as a peculiar trader to someone ^^;;;
Once I had Katie and I was being lazy and just checked to see if anyones gates were open. I ended up going to someone's town I didn't even remember in a "yolo" moment. I realize it was probably rude now, and I wouldn't do it again (it was a while ago!!) I was lucky they didn't get mad because I totally would have understood if they did. I basically showed up with Katie, and put down a few hybrids outside their train station. The conversation went as follows:
"um"
"sorry bye"
"bye"
I hate to turn up out of the blue uninvited, but plz take this kitten

Those are actually pretty cute stories. I love having randomly adorable trades because it seems like it never happens. Or people just don't talk about them. I hope I have many more trades like the one I did today. I never ask for anything when I give away my villagers, because I know what it is like to want your Dreamie and not have the items that particular person wants. The story about Katie did make me laugh, though I don't think I would have gotten mad. I get pretty stoked for villagers. (Unless it is Sparro. He can fall in a hole.)

It's SO amazing when people do cute little unexpected things for you!

I had a girl that I was buying items from and we did our exchange. She then told me to come to her house to pick out items I wanted for free! It was so unexpected and so kind! I thanked her a million times. >w<

Now for a stupid thing I did the other day!

I was trading with someone and I went to their town to pick up items I arranged to buy. I put the bells down and then picked up my items. They picked up my bells and then walked over to another corner. I was typing "bye" in the chat but before I could send it, they dropped bells in a corner and moved their person over towards mine and back to the bells. It looked like they were hinting that I should pick up those bells. I had someone do that to me before telling me to follow them. Confused, I typed in the chat "hm?" and they were like "?" It then hit me. They were probably setting up another trade. So I told them never mind and to have a great day. xD So embarrassing!

Awe!!! Too cute, Shimmer! That also reminds me the person I was trading with earlier planted some sort of tree. Something like a money tree I think they said it gave something like 90k. (But they also mentioned something like a sacred tree.) What on earth is it?

that happened to me a lot actually, and I too like to gift people from time to time. we do it just because we like helping people out, put a smile on their face and just enjoy the heartwarming feeling~

It is funny you say that. Mathilda just moved out of my town, and I dropped one of the 99K bags for the girl who came to get her. She apparently was a new player, and seemed so happy to gets such a gift. It made me smile. <3

prayingmantis10 here was selling me an ABD + balloon collection + birthday set last month and i picked up my stuff on the 20th after sending the tbt. came back to see they returned the tbt, saying 'happy birthday'.

I bought some gorgeous furniture from someone a while back and they came to my town to deliver it. They picked up the bells I'd laid out for them in front of my house and then they went home via the train station. When I went to open the gates for another trade, I saw that they'd dropped one million bells outside my train station. I messaged them and told them that they'd left their money in my town, but they just said "Did I really? Oops. Oh well. Have a nice day!". I was so amazing of them to leave me the bells like that.

I wonder if they were planning to leave me the money or it was just a spur of the moment action of kindness. Whatever it was, it made me happy, so now if I'm visiting someone's town for a trade I try leave a nice little surprise for them somewhere in their town like hybrids or bells :3

I haven't been visiting yet, but I usually try to leave someone a little something when they come to my town to get stuff. Like earlier, someone came to pick up one of my extra Majora's Masks. (I had three of them.) They have apparently only been playing 10 days, so I let them use my Shampoodle and everything. She was so happy! She left me all sorts of little presents. <3 It was soo cute. This is why I open my gates.

I traded with someone on NYE and they asked me if I wanted to stay and hang out! I've never really played with anyone (more than just trades) so I thought why not? He was very friendly and it was fun to walk around someone else's town! I didn't expect it and I wasn't planning on it, but it turned out to be a really positive and nice experience!!! c:

I know what it is like to go into someone's town and not want to move because you are afraid that you're going to mess anything up. O: I hope one day you and I can have a fun experience together!

I've had that quite a few times and have done it myself to newbies. One girl on TBT was like surprised I had even 1 hybrid, So I gave her 6 blue roses. She just stood there and kept saying "no no I can't take this!" But then she did and I think I made her day.
