My island has been there since Day 1. I took multiple breaks and now I'm back so I want to try an Island Journal to record AC life moments here and there. The island was never completed previously. I got stuck and had no idea what to do with the rest of the unfinished island. I then flattened almost everything and redid many things. There is no specific theme, just a mix of this and that but I like the natural island look so you can say it's more woodsy / woodland-like. The island will always be a WIP but almost completely decorated.

My other favorite girl, Ankha, always with a (lovely!) attitude on her. She's laying it down pretty thick huh? I forgot when she started calling me 'Eonni' but I legit love it. I wish she would smile more but then I guess that wouldn't be Ankha. haha
I recently hit a few milestones that kind of go together.
I don't think about the points when decorating my house. I just decorated however I like and recently made some changes to a few rooms. Therefore, it was surprising when I got a letter from HHA that my house is Rank S and a gold HHA trophy. Sweet!
A hoarding reward. Yeah! This will be nice IRL.
Not all the rooms were changed significantly, just moving things around and most got new wallpapers and flooring.
BTW, can you tell Rin is a Time Traveler? Hmm... If I could TT IRL, I would probably not travel to the future but I would definitely go to the past. Well, that's a whole different story.
It was early in the morning and only a few villagers were out. I visited Ione and she was sick. I meant to get medicine from the storage for her but I got sidetracked. Then when I remember a few hours later, she wouldn't let me go in. Uh-oh! I'm in trouble. Although I think it's because the gate was open and she wanted to isolate herself. After I closed the gate, she let me in. haha
After I gave Ione medicine, I went to Nook's and stock up on more medicine. I guess you just never know. And I also stocked up on the customization kit. You can never have too many, and it takes too long to buy them when you do.
Went to say "hi" to Shino and she was just eyeing my custom design kimono. Hmm...
I stopped by Marshal's house and he was making savory bread! Yeah - I didn't have this recipe. Good job Marshal.
Oh Redd was here today. He was selling 3 real paintings - Glowing, Solemn, and Jolly. He had 1 fake - the Famous painting. I didn't buy any. Maybe next time...if there's a Detailed painting.
I wanted to share that this is the place where the Lily of the Valley flowers spawn on the island. Whenever all 5 spaces are filled, I pull out a few and relocate them around the island.
In the evening, I went to visit Ankha and saw Toby there. I wasn't able to take a snapshot of when Toby went up to use the toilet in front of us. But he did!
Then not long after, I saw Ankha girl outside, entertaining Fang and Raymond. How sweet of her. Took a break to sit and enjoy the show. Ahh that's a weird photo from the back.
Later, I was checking off fishes that were caught on the ACNH pocket app, I was reminded that some can only be caught in a pond, river, upstream, ocean, etc. And PeachFalls doesn't have a pond! No way... so I had to do a quick fix. Whew.
Ta-da!!! Uh... I guess I pressed the screenshot button instead of + to take a photo. Oopsy
And with that fix, I took an updated screenshot of the map, and with a DA now.
I caught all of the fish and deep sea creatures available for the month of September! It took me a while and use up hundreds of fish bait. Some, I have to wait until night because they don't spawn until 9PM. Honestly, deep fishing at night sort of creeps me out because it's so dark... haha Now I just need to look at the bugs that are left.
But first, I got to check up on this guy, Fang, and he started going off about the Nook phone and Nook miles. I think he's on Tom Nook's paid list.
Marshal's being a super sweet guy! And who doesn't love "Mochi"? I do miss Genji though. He was also always calling me "Mochi" without being asked. Don't tell Marshal that.
Anyhow, I caught the last of the River, Pond and Pier fish. Woohoo! Took so much fish bait.

The Blue Marlin just wasn't showing up until I was about to give up. I think it heard me. I should say that more often...
I probably caught over a dozen new sea creatures but these two gave me the hardest times ever!
Giant Isopod or ISoHardToCatch! Took me almost 20 minutes chasing it, I kid you not. I wanted to give up but there were only 2 of them left on the list, and I was pretty darn sure it had to be one of them. I would not chase after it again if I see it... I'll just go shark fishing!
The last deep sea creature and again, I was ready to call it a night and it showed up. They had to be listening...
With those done, more achievements! Yeah!
Pascal the Otter. He near freak me out when he appeared. My very first scallop and I gave it to him. I got a Mermaid Lamp DIY in return. I was afraid it would be hard to catch more, and I wouldn't be able to donate it to Blathers but they started showing up a lot.
2 Deep Dive achievements. OMG from 50 to 250... I didn't realize it was that many.
There seem to be at least 20 of them creatures left.
Early morning check in and we got some fog on the island! So cold! I feel bad for Cap, always chilling outside, regardless of the weather. What a sport!
Ione was the first one I saw and she didn't forget to remind me about the Bug Off event tomorrow.
Checking in with the other folks, namely Shino. She wanted to move away... Um no.
After I said no, she tried to act like nothing happened.
We totally matched!
Sherb wasn't too happy with Toby so I gave him a new catchphrase - Moon rain.
Now all I can think about are sea monsters attacking PeachFalls!

So happy I caught 2 new bugs on the list - the grasshopper (which I accidentally forgot to donate!) and the banded dragonfly. The dragonfly was huge!
Lastly, I changed the 2 red steel inclines to wood to match the house design. I had to time travel to see the finished look.
I decided to hold a ceremony to celebrate the completion of the top incline. We haven't had one of these in years! Definitely worth rebuilding just to bring EVERYONE together in one (small!) spot. We made it work despite how cramped it was. Was Ione on time out?

Showcasing a few things around the island. I removed the fence here so that we can jump across the river and get to the beach. So convenient!
I also have ladders set up all around the hills so it is always super easy to climb up and back down. Saves pocket space too! I have been vaulting pool and ladder free for a long time.
Last but not least, visiting the Kimono store - what beautiful outifts! And it's right behind the Able sisters. Talk about competition.
I've decided. I'm going to switch Marshal out for a Jock villager and Judy out for an Uchi. I have none of them on the island. As much as I love Marshal, I have to let him go because I have 2 other Smug villagers - Toby (love him!) and Raymond (another love). Snooty Judy will have to go because there's already Snooty Shino (love love!). Anyhow, I had scanned in Genji (my favorite Jock!) two days in a row and all ready for him. Then I saw a photo of KID CAT without his helmet, googled him up and viola! He's a Jock! Perfect. So now I'm getting Kid Cat instead of Genji. It's ok that he really doesn't take his helmet off. Uchi villager, I'm going for Phoebe (Fire Phoenix anyone?) and see if that will work. Not too found of the Uchi villagers' designs. Mira is probably my favorite and she's moving in if Phoebe doesn't work out.
Fang is such a sweetheart too. He can totally take on Redd in a fight. lol

So then I have been island hopping to hopefully find my jock villager, Kid Cat, or my Uchi villager, Phoebe. Well, over 300 NMTs and counting and those two have not showed up. I'm really close to just adopting them from other islands to save myself time. But then another part of me wants to keep island hopping, just to see how many NMTs I will have to burn before they show up. lol
But I crossed many animals during my brief stay at these islands. Here are a few:

Judy and Fang are gone too. Kid Cat, Phoebe and Rolf are here to replace them. I never saw Kid Cat or Phoebe on the mystery islands so I ended up adopting them from others. Rolf was scanned in via Amiibo to replace Fang. I love Fang but I wanted Rolf as well. His Amiibo card and Blanche's Amiibo card are the only two I bought off Ebay. Unfortunately for Blanche, I can't let Ankha go yet. Never thought I would have 3 cats but Kid Cat is seriously growing on me... he's such a cutie! Rolf is Rolf - he's very cool looking and loving the exterior of his house! While I do like Phoebe (her house inside is so awesome looking!), I am hoping she will grow on me even more. All personalities now on board.
I actually had to sit there for a few minutes when she asked me to move. It wasn't easy letting you go, Judy!

I mostly did a bunch of decorating today - covering most of the beach areas. I had no idea what to put on these areas so I googled and got a bunch of ideas / designs that I used on my island.
This is where Marshal's house used to be, on the cliff. When Kid Cat moved there, I moved Kid Cat and turned this into a flower garden, based on @isleofsoph's idea. Can you spot Sherb?
This is the beach area on the right side of the airport. Used design idea by @goldenmirmy. Originally, I left the left and right side beach areas bare for trading but I guess not anymore.
The left side beach area is now a small beach side Cafe, based on @kyuubi_crossing's idea.
Decorated the small beach rocks so they don't look so bare.

The 2nd big rock area is based on @lux.acnh's idea. I have always wanted to decorate using the Shell / Mermaid items and when I saw this, it was perfect!

With that, I think just about everything is decorated. There are some small sandy beach areas that I left bare because I don't want everything to fill up.
Anyhow, Phoebe (I keep wanting to call her Phoenix) already wants to move. Nope.
After Sherb gave me a gift, he started talking about bugs again. Hmm...

Play time was brief but sort of special. Ione came over to visit me. This is the first time that a villager asked what's behind the wall and to give a tour while inside the house. She asked multiple times so I finally got the hint and took her around. She also gave me a jacket for letting her visit. <3

Always busy in this neck of the woods around Resident Services. I'm glad the airport lines up and that RS is literally, a few steps away. It took so long to chose the right map at the beginning. I'm still happy with the way the airport entrance lines up with RS. Not exact but as perfect as it can be.
Another long post. Believe it or not, Shino asked to visit my house. Now, all the girls have taken a tour of the house, except for Phoebe. She doesn't live right next to them so maybe they left her out of the plan.
