PC Protection Reccomendations

What is a good Virus Protection program?

I prefer if it's free also.

Is Avast any good?

Well AVG is the most downloaded software on CNET which is pretty safe. So I think it's fine.

Avira AntiVir is pretty good. I like it a lot better than AVG.

I downloaded it from avg.com in August 2008.

AVG is very good, and it's free. Also, if you have a problem with maleware, MalewareBytes Anti Malware is an amazing program.
