I'm doing a path in my town but I have trees everywhere so that means 100 broken axes. Also where do you start? in front of your house? Train station? Plaza? I'm so clueless. Does anyone have any good websites which have paths qr codes on them? Thanks ^^
I started my path from the trainlines just before main street and worked from there. I'm sure it doesn't matter where you start as everyone has their own methods for doing them. As for qr codes I just used tumblr but I hear that Japanese sites have really cute codes!
I never finish paths its annoying, i always get demotivated at how long it takes lol
but in my new town once i unlock the QR machine, im going to try my hardest to actually complete the town
I did not do paths to villager houses. I made plazas around my train station, my town hall, and my town tree, then added paths that connect those and my cafe, my beaches and my house.
I just started pathing for the first time tonight. I've been wanting to, but the fact that my town is getting way too many dirt spots even though I never run is getting really irritating. I decided to start on the southern part of my town since there's less trees. Despite there not being that many trees, I broke 3 axes. I can't imagine how many it's going to take to finish pathing and landscaping my town, since I have so much space left. So I can definitely understand how you feel.
I did find out that pathing forced me to think about space a lot more. My town was starting to feel crowded, but after I chopped down all the trees in the southern part and started pathing it, I realized I have more space for PWP and other things than I thought.
The best place to get QR codes is Tumblr. There's a ton of NL blogs there that almost exclusively post QR codes. That's where I get mine.
Making paths was the first time I stopped and questioned the town layout I have none of my important stuff really lines up, it's scattered all over the map. So I have paths but I don't how they turned out.
It also bothers me that when fruit or other things drop on the paths they disappear, and that I always accidentally erase one while I'm doing stuff and need to fix it. Makes me feel like I constantly need to keep those designs on me.
I love my paths, this was one of the better decisions I've made. While it has its quirks trying to get around some of my awkwardly placed villagers, now that i'm fleshing it out with flowers/trees/bamboo it's starting to look really nice!
I started doing paths for the first time last week, what I did was cut all my trees i have to tt a couple of days back and forward to stock up on trees and axes, and i started from my message board and 1 of my bridges, but dont try to do it all at once you will get overwhelmed
I started placing paths on the more 'permanent' areas of my town, so around stuff like the town hall and town plaza, the houses of my 'permanent' villagers, and around PWPs I don't think I'll be moving. I'm kind of glad I did a bit of planning beforehand on some stuff, like the position of the cafe relative to everything else, but there's some things (namely some of my villagers' houses) which are off by just one block, and it's a little bit annoying, haha.
I'll probably deal with it by making my paths all weird and loopy, but I sure wish I learned about the reset trick earlier...
I made my path pattern. It actually turned out quite well. Most of my paths run almost straight, I got really lucky. I mostly have main paths with offshoots to places. My main paths run across between bridges, shops, town hall and my beach accesses.
I started from the train station as well. I didn't connect it to any villager houses, but I did connect it to the plaza, campsite, re-tail, town hall, and bridges.
