Paths Dilemma...

So, basically, I laid paths out on about 1/2 of my town.
And I don't like it. :| I don't know if it's just my choice in path, or what, but...

I don't like the look of it at all.
But at the same time I know paths help with grass deterioration, protect flowers from being run through, and just about everyone uses them.

Just about every town I've visited has used paths beautifully but I just don't like it in my own town.
But I'm afraid not having paths will make me seem, like, noobish, to people who visit? I suppose that's the word I'm looking for? Lol. Because every town I've been to, and I've been to several, has had them.

So question: Do you use paths? And if you want to share, do you know of any really nice looking paths or resources?

Not having paths doesn't make you look noobish at all! It's your town, do whatever you like best.

I have paths in my town - I like the look of them, and it helps when I have people over to guide them to where they're supposed to go without wandering (e.g. beach for the island).

If you do decide to swap your path for another pattern, remember that you just need to swap the QR code and all of the paths you've already laid will change automatically.

I've seen pretty towns without paths. I use them personally so I don't wander too much aimlessly and I like having direct rows to all the buildings and all. But yeah, like the person above said, if you want to swap paths just override the QR you used and they swap automatically.

i feel the same way. i'm currently switching to stepping stones and clover paths. only problem is that it's winter so i'm just hoarding clovers to prepare.

I also use stepping stones like that. I made my own so I can change the colors as I need to. I tried to make mine blend into the dirt as well as I could.

I feel your pain. I'm really picky about my town and I've been searching forever for a path that isn't too blocky/blends in with the grass around it. I wish I was talented enough/had enough time to make my own but I just feel like artsy enough to make what I've been envisioning. So I've been searching the internets for days searching for the perfect one XD
@CR33P- I really like your paths! Did you make them yourself? I've been envisioning something like that but with smaller rocks.

you can create some beautiful towns without paths! personally I use them because I'm too disorganized to plan something out without them, but some of the most impressive towns I've seen use only natural resources

I'm going for the clover paths too! I've been trying to make my own stepping stones so that I can change the colors depending on the grass and stuff, but no luck T__T they look ugly lol so I just went with all clovers then some parts with mushrooms eheh (still trying to make nice stepping stones though ugh..)

On my first town, I had very nice patterns from bibidesign. But they didn't work with my town, at all. They looked weird. So in my new town, I'm not doing paths with patterns and such, but am trying to keep some ways between the forest, almost like roads, so people know where to go and don't get lost.
