Good mornimg,

I remem back in NL that I used custom paths/QR paths a lot for my town. It took quite awhile, and eventually, I had a very frustrating problem. Grass, weeds buildings, villager houses etc. would begin to grow through or break my streets I made with these paths🙃
I was wondering if this happens in NH as well, or hopefully isn't an issue at all. Has this happened to anyone else?

My other question is about game language. I have the Japanese version and noticed that it can be in English as well if you change your Switch settings. Can going back and forth between the 2 erase data or ruin the game in anyway? Sometimes I like to play in Japanese, other times, I like English.

Thanks for the help!

Villagers will only move into plots you have placed down yourself so you don't have to worry about random houses plopping down on your custom paths! I'm not sure if weeds will grow on custom paths themselves as I haven't encountered that yet; I only know that weeds can grow on the dirt paths that's part of the "official" paths provided by the game itself.

I've heard of people changing languages through system settings and their saves were still retained. The only thing that was different was the language. I'm not sure if there are things that can happen from this though as I have not tried it myself.

i've switched between Dutch and English myself, it's completely fine to do so don't worry! Nothing happened to my save file or the save files of my friends who do the same :)

Oh yes, I forgot I could choose where to put the plots down. Maybe that wasn't possible in NL...I will see what happens with the weeds though!

That's good to know;) I really like the Japanese dialogue between villagers, but sometimes I read the Nook Miles achievements and fossil explanations and such in English.
