I like clover paths. Mixed with stepping stone qr code paths, they look really nice in my opinion.. but it would take a lot of time finding all the clovers (finding them in your town or buying them in bulk.. either way). I do have some clover paths x stepping stones in parts of my main town. Took me a while to get them lol.

And I use paths that take 2 tiles (left and right, or top and bottom edge) for most part. I think it really depends on the area you are working with and how you prefer it..

1. clover paths are cute when you checker them and add in a few stepping stones, but that's just my opinion.
2. my paths are 2-3+ spaces wide depending on the areas and all of them have boarders. i'm very picky about paths in my town and i'm really picky when i pick out new paths for different seasons.
3. here's my paths i guess,

1: I like clover paths interlaced with stepping stones. I have some in my town for special areas
2: My paths are 2 squares wide but widen and shrink in some areas depending on my landscaping. I try to keep it symmetrical
but break symmetry where is looks nice.
3: My path is a white brick pattern I made myself

1. I love clovers as paths. My paths are all dirt paths so I've been waiting for clovers to pop up to fill them in!
2. I have a few "main paths" that are 2-squares - basically they take you from the train station down to town hall. but everything else is 1-square. My town is super foresty and unsymmetrical and I love it!!
3. Only dirt paths

I'm normally a stickler for symmetry but it's kind of hard to guarantee clean symmetry depending on the placement of your houses and also the landscape. I couldn't let myself get caught up in the obsession of having perfect symmetry so my paths are largely asymmetrical, they're mostly there to guide around houses. I think you'd need a lot of open, flat land to get things perfectly mirrored on each side if you like that sort of thing, but I'd recommend not getting too caught up in it.

I had a hard time with my paths in some places because the minimum width they allow is two squares, there was sadly no single tile with a border on both sides so I've tried to work with it as best I can. It's inconvenient at times lol. My paths are a brown stone pattern with the occasional jam cookie design placed in some areas, usually in front of houses. I wanted something that looked kind of chocolaty but not an actual chocolate path. I wish I could find where I originally found the QR codes but it was so long ago. :(

I think clover paths would look nice? But maybe not too overly saturated with them, a single stone tile in between would break it up a bit and give it some variety like Bcat suggested. I think that sounds nice.

I have a brick path that is 2 wide, nothing crazy special. I have it all around my town and have a few smaller clover paths branching off of them to go into smaller places like my zen garden or my trellis

1. They are really nice, I just don't like them in winter. They take a lot of effort though.
2. Mine are 4, 3 and 2. I really care if they are symmetrical lol
3. random grassy bricks, bushes(path bushes) and other.

1. I love clover paths! I have some stepping stone paths that I'm filling up with clovers and mushrooms a little at a time.

2. My paths are three and two blocks wide. I do like symmetry, but I don't sweat it if they are not perfect.

3. I have stepping stone paths and a blue tile design path. I wanted to keep it simple. There are three paths that shoot off my plaza, which is the the middle of town and that lead to important places like retail or the train station.
