I was wondering how everyone set up their paths in their town. I have set up paths SOOOO many times and have failed bc I'm a perfectionist and everything needs to look good. I've tried connecting houses and major areas, free-style... Does anyone just know a good way to do it?
Please reply soon bc I'm losing hair over this! lol It's my first step to a perfect town...
I connect houses and buildings and have my boardwalk across my beach. I would use a pattern to mark around signposts to be sure I didn't run a path where a potential house could go.
Animal tracks is the way to go. Imop, patterns are tacky and look really bad, especially when they border buildings or stone that's already in the game.
What I've done is made a pattern and put it in a pathway where I want my grass to die. The pattern just pretty much marks my path so I know not to stray from it too often. Visitors also will know where to walk since the grass is newly grown. Once the grass is gone from me running on my paths I will take them away because I don't like pattern paths D=
Then they must be pretty good. All the ones I've seen have looked good, until they come to a bridge, building or stone, then they look really bad because they don't blend or look natural.
I'll give yah that! Not too bad when the bridge lays perfect north to south or east to west but the bridges that go at an angle yah... I don't like them there. I use the stone paving then. Looks more natural.
I don't have any pics of my path near the bridge. I'll have to take some. The animal tracks do work better if you want to path off your river banks. Here is my current path I'm using.
