Path ends struggles

How do you people deal with path ends? Specifically the ones that lead up to houses (where you can't put one right in front of the entrance) or ones that go into bridges and cobblestone. I just created a path that I really like but I just find it uncomfortable having paths that lead up to cobblestone and have dirt on it (and I don't like covering the cobblestone since I think it looks cute) so the road just kinda ends. on dirt. Anyone else have this issue? What are some suggestions to fix these ends to make it look more continuous?

Edit: I'm using a 3 width path with borders, if that makes a difference! (for bridges I expand the road into 4 width) XD
 
I have those problems, but they don't really bother me that much. Just make it so that the path ends before the entrance. The dirt is only on the edges of the cobblestone, so just cover the edges.
 
I leave a space in the entrance and put other paths on the corners like this example.jpg

thanks for the input! Yeah covering the edge of the cobblestone is an option, but then it looks weird when you see cobblestone at the edge of the path T.T the struggle is real...

Thanks for the example! Love your moat and everything! How did you manage to get your dirt part so dark brown/reddish? Mine seems to be really light... and I guess since my road is gray/blue the little square of dirt bothers me more since it really doesn't fit right xD
 
I just have my paths go straight past buildings and house, that way I can make little flower gardens. When I have bits that I want to have a path but tiles with mess that area up, I use clovers.
