I can't help you out, but I just wanted to let you know that for some reason, the Lantern Fly counts as a cicada in this game. Since the Lantern Fly is available starting this month, the villagers start to ask for cicadas. So it technically is in season but in an incredibly roundabout way. And they're also super hard to find which makes those requests really annoying. Best of luck catching that cicada!
