Been trying to get kabuki to suggest the Zen bell with the diving trick for like 2hrs now and still nothing! I'm getting pretty frustrated and desperate..anyone knows other ways to get PWPs other than the diving trick?
Maybe you should go around and talk to your villagers to see if one of them needs to give you the "you've been playing too long" speech? They won't ping when that is needed.
If you get a 'you played for too long' speech, after that another villager can still ping you in the same minute. So you should make sure to not talk to Kabuki.
I have him in my town and he's quite nightactive. Getting PWPs is easier when most villagers are asleep, so it's good to try really early or really late.
I'm trying to get Ruby to request a fairy tale bridge and it's taking forever. She's requested almost every other project from me so far. :c
When I want to get PWP requests, I first make sure the necessary villager is outside. Then, I dig holes around them and all the other villagers. I go diving. I leave all my items/money on the beach. I go find the right villager and if they ping, yay. If not, go find another for the ping. Repeat until the hour is up. Then save and restart!
It's a long and hard process especially since there are so many projects they can request. Good luck!
There is no other way, since the diving trick is just a way to stay far from villagers. The mechanics of the game make it so that when you havem't been around a villager for a while, they will ping you. By going to the ultimate corner of your town, you are far enough from most of your villagers that this distance is achieved. That being said, I often get pings and I never really use the diving trick anymore. If you are working on a specific area for example, you'll stay in that area for a bit and when you go to villagers that weren't near you during that time they are likely to ping you. You should also talk to villagers from time to time, because you might have been playing for too long. ^^
