The Late Great Turt
So I posted a really long while back about doing an OTGW town, or at least part of my town to follow the theme of the show. And since I am working on a Halloween town as is I am incorporating the OTGW theme into one long piece of my town. My main house and villagers are all going to be part of just the normal Halloween theme I have going but the other 3 houses will be based on episodes of OTGW.
One house is going to be Wirt's house which isn't important that it's his because inside the rooms are going to represent the creepier things from episodes. So the front room is going to auntie whisper's house, and below it in the basement will be Lorna's skeleton room filled with and the walls lined with skeletons I might also make a custom picture of Lorna's evil face to make it extra creepy, the attic is going to be the tavern with some mannequins dresses as some of the tavern's people like the highwayman and the tavern wench lady, the left room is going to be Adelaide's house with the big quilted bed, and quilts on the walls and it will be dark and candle lit, I might put a birdcage in there to represent Beatrice as well, then the right room I am going to do the barn party from Pottsfeild (even though I already have an outdoor pumpkin patch and soon hopefully a scarecrow) with the dancing pumpkin peopleand MAYBE a standing skeleton model... maybe.. I don't know what to do with the back main floor so I might not build it...
Second house is going to be Greg's house and his house is going to have the happier things from OTGW in it. The main room is going to be the green house from the Endicott/Grey house and then the left and right rooms will be Endicott's "Georgian" house and Margueritte's "Rococo" house, in the garden I am also going to put their little signs of whose house it is on the wall before the door to each room, the back main floor will be the animal school I might make a Ms. Langtree mannequin at the front as well... the basement is going to be the frog ferry with the frog band (i'm basically going to put frogs by instruments...), and the attic is going to be cloud city!
The third house is going to be the Woodsman's house and will simply be the first floor room expanded to the max with black and grey forest walls, with a creeping Beast and just an axe and a lantern in the middle of the floor... I might put a custom design "exposed" beast by the door so only those who turn the camera will see it...
I am setting up the area of my town like so:
There is going to be a little graveyard next to the "garden wall" which I am making of a combination of flowers bushes and "dead trees" and then up the path from the bridge you go right to a big pond (like they did coming over the wall) and then you see pottsfeild's pumpkin patch and a scarecrow, then following the path you come to Wirt's and Greg's houses to see all the rooms with the stories in them, and then you go further down the path and along the path I am going to more dead trees representative of the Edelwood trees before coming to the Woodsman's house with the lantern and the beast and right below the last house will be an Edlewood face cutout board so you become an Edelwood almost like they did!
This is still a long ways coming but I wanted to make this to encourage myself and to share my progress! I've got to work on moving out the last few villagers that planted themselves in this area.
