Trading Original Whitney for Gold fishing rod

I've been fishing in the game recently and noticed that a bunch of big looking river fish have escaped me, so I thought I replaced my normal rod with a gold one. If you don't want Whitney, I also have bells and some items I could trade for.

Whitney is in boxes right now and I need the gold rod to be brought to my main town and for you to pick up Whitney in my other town. Same friend code for both though.

If I get the rod without Whitney, then I'll give her away.

Oh I didn't even see the merge she put in. I was wondering why offers started coming in. I guess I don't mind duping since it's not really creating fake items.
