Can I ask... why are ores and gems so expensive? They aren't worth that much to sell to Re-Tail, and I've seen these things go for hundreds of thousands of Bells. What's so *amazing* about them? Am I missing something here? :/

They make rare furniture if applied to certain pieces. The gold especially is a wild card since 3 gold and 10k in bells will net you a random gold piece of furniture.
