I think unless you can find someone willing to make a new pattern for you, you'll just have to wait a few days to get the QR scanner in your game, because I'm pretty sure you can only display patterns you made yourself in the Able shop.

Also, I can let you catalog black formal pants and steel toed boots for free if you'd like.

I'm ready now, please open your gate, and I can bring the pants and boots by your town to catalog.

I don't know about TBT, but if you're really in a hurry to get that pattern in your town, you might consider time traveling to unlock the QR code scanner.
