Orchards?!

How do YOU plant orchards? in rows and columns? or in masses?

In empty places in my town, mainly.

If there's a place in my town that has nothing there, I fill it all up with either trees or flowers ^_^

I usually plant them near my house, and on every game (Gamecube, DS, and even Wii!) I always get the perfect Orchard area.

I live in the area that goes DOWN from the cliff (the cliffs surrounding me are alevated). The blank space is where I'll plant the orchard, after cutting down all the other Apples and Non-Fruit trees in this particular area. At the moment I've been planting randomly around town.

I always plant near my house for 2 reasons:

1. Easy to monitor
2. When it's time to harvest, they'll all in one convenient area. Nothing's worse then spending 2 hours running around town shaking trees.

I honestly don't fuss too much about cutting down trees, unless of course they're in my way or obstructing my view. I just have my orchards along with randomly dotted trees

i put them wherever there is an empty spot in my town. i'm only going to harvest and sell them until i get the amount of money i need, and in the end, i still want my town to look nice.

like everyone says: empty or not looking good spaces. Orchards are good for Bells ( Especially Non-native fruit )

... Well, an "orchid" is a flower...
And orchard is a specific area where a mass planting of a certain fruit (in this case) is carried out for profit. People like to plant orchards in AC so they can pay off their debt faster

I always plant mine around Tom Nook's. It's the environmentally-freindly way to plant: less transportation from the field to the store! (And it saves time running back and forth, too!)

once my town gets full of exotic fruit trees, I will probably cut down plain trees to plant more exotic fruit... Plain trees are pointless anyway, but I wall always be sure to replace the ones I cut down Does anyone have a hybrid flower guide by the way....?

I'm pretty sure it's the same as in AC:WW. They can't really change it

There is this huge empty spot behind Nooks in the top right corner of my town. As soon as my non-native fruit are grown I will (Cherries, Apples, Oranges) put them there. XD

I'm probably going to wind up doing rows of various fruits once I start mine. I want my town to be really stunning, so it'll all be mapped out as opposed to random. Granted, it'll most likely be in varying patters according to where the rows are in town.

If you are going to knock down non fruit trees then make sure you catch the bees first and donate them to the museum other wise you wont complete the insect collection

Never did plant Orchards, good idea though. I usually plant my fruit trees all over the place, dipersing the rich good earth. I don't want to deny any part of my village of fruit trees
