Pokémon ORAS vs XY

I think both are pretty good. But to introduce someone to gen vi I would go with X or Y. It's a new adventure with an alright story and message. Plus I miss the customization. Both have disappointing post games, but ORAS being the more robust of the two.
I liked shopping around the cheaper boutiques. I had the german flag tank, white shorts, leggings, ball cap with shades, and a killer ponytail. Never saw another trainer look like me once. I really wish ORAS at least did clothes.

Btw has anyone really checked out contests yet? I did a few with my milotic but didn't want to change it's moveset frok my battle set. I think I enjoyed them more when I was a kid for some reason.

Contests in ORAS?
They give you a rad Cosplay Pikachu. I did all of them to get Lucarionite.
I thought the Beauty outfit was the cutest.

I would recommend XY to new players. It's super easy and allows you to get a feel for the systems in place. The story is simple and the villainous team is crap, but Team Rocket wasn't all super either.
However, I enjoyed ORAS more. There's more to do, they are harder (relative to XY), and there are a bunch of small upgrades that just make the game more worth it in my opinion. They also did more with the 3DS system's capabilities than XY did.
XY feels rushed due to its downsides, whereas ORAS nears the quality of previous generations.

honestly, i enjoyed XY more. XY got me over 300 hours, ORAS has gotten me just under 80, and I haven't played it for a week, if not two.
but if I was going to suggest a game to someone I'd suggest ORAS simply because it's the most modern game.

I'm afraid I'm one of those people who don't think too highly of X/Y...... Never got bored of a pokemon game so quickly. I actually had to psyche myself up just to finish my 2nd playthrough! :O
But ORAS is simply amazing. Hoenn has always been my favorite region, and I love everything about this remake. I'm soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo effin' pathetically in love with Maxie and most of the remixed themes C:

ORAS bc there is so much more to do, however I miss the character customization of X/Y

ORAS, the story was much much much better, it got me into the series. But as the above poster said, I do wish we had character customization.
