The void is where your last villager that moved out will wonder. In order to clear your void you must visit a town with 10 villagers.

I can get you: beacon fire, bishop, boomerang, bromeliaceae, cabin clock, cabin dresser, and checkout counter for now, but it looks like I'd have to visit a town with 10 villagers in it first? If you know anyone who'd be ok with me just popping in for a second, I can do that.
