opinions on hacked towns?

i'd like to hear what everyone else thinks ♡ mine's not hacked but i probably would hack if i never updated my 2ds or bought a digital copy

tbh i did hack my town but it looked so basic and i accidently updated my ds before i finished lol
i ended up just starting again and i used cheats to get sanrio/gracie furniture for my house and billions of bells but because of that, i got bored after 2 weeks and i gave the game to my brother

however most hacked towns i've seen are beautiful, like when they put items in the river ♡

i personally never hacked my town but a lot of the hacked towns i saw were really pretty!

I don’t have a problem with it, I think it’s creative on how people put trees in water. In fact I did do it before, I removed it after a while. I used to play with save edits before actually,

I don't have an issue with hack towns. They are beautiful and magical because there are things you cannot do with a non-hacked town. I would not want a hacked town though because I do not want to corrupt my catridge and 3DS but I love to visit other hack towns

I applaud the people with hacked towns for their creativity. I personally don't mind it because it spruces things up compared to the ones that aren't hacked.

i really like them! some of them are absolutely amazing, and somehow, acnl is better at omitting a specific vibe than even acnh. i've seen amazing tropical towns that were only made possible due to hacking palm trees onto the mainland! i love the foresty overgrown towns that put the trees right next to each other instead of the typical one space gap.
i think lots of limitations were set for acnl terraforming, but hacks helped people's creativity take its flow in spite of them.
i'd hack myself, if i could!

I'd be really scared to hack my town/island myself -- but the ones I've seen are really beautiful and they utilize hacked items like the trees really well. I think they're gorgeous. But at the same time, I worry for their save files because what if something happens?

I'd love to hack my town to be able to put PWPs and stuff on the beach and put bamboo in the river... I love watching walkthroughs of hacked towns on youtube. It does seem like hacking your town would make the game super boring once you were done.
