Opinions needed!

Again, I'm not 100% where this thread belongs, so I'm posting it here.

I have plans to open up a hybrid shop to tie in with my newly created town and I need some opinions on my chosen prices and how the shop will be ran. I've asked around and have viewed various other shops and threads and these are the prices I've settled with, but I would like some final opinions on the prices to see if anything could be changed. I hope to have the shop open some time in June.

As for how I plan to run the shop, I plan on restocking every Sunday afternoon, as I do not time travel. To compensate the low weekly stock (although I hope some weeks I have plenty of hybrids to sell), I've been slowly working out affordable prices. I'm not really sure if these prices are even good. ><;;

Roses:

Pink: 30000 Bells ea
Orange: 30000 Bells ea
Black: 30000 Bells ea
Purple: 40000 Bells ea
Blue: 50000 Bells ea

Tulips:

Pink: 30000 Bells ea
Orange: 30000 Bells ea
Black: 40000 Bells ea
Purple: 40000 Bells ea


Cosmos:

Pink: 30000 Bells ea
Orange: 30000 Bells ea
Black: 30000 Bells ea

Pansies:

Orange: 30000 Bells ea
Blue: 40000 Bells ea
Purple: 50000 Bells ea

Lilies:

Pink: 30000 Bells ea
Orange: 30000 Bells ea
Black: 30000 Bells ea

Carnations:

Red: 40000 Bells ea
Pink: 40000 Bells ea
White: 40000 Bells ea

Imo, the prices are fine, I've seen people buy them for this much each if not more. A lot of people have IGB to spend and not tbt.
You can always fluctuate the prices depending on how much orders you end up getting.

Honestly, I have plans to only charge IGB and not TBT. Also I'm not planning on taking orders. The plan is to grow them weekly and restock every Sunday afternoon. I'm hoping a week's time is enough to get at least 10 or more of each.

I also plan on fluctuating the prices every now and then as well, kinda like an 'on-sale' period. X)

I think the prices are okay, maybe you can give a discount for customers who buy your hybrids in bulk. Good luck with your shop!

It sounds like a wonderful idea!
As a minor note, I don't know how you plan to format the thread, but feel free to use shorthand such as 30k instead of 30000. Seeing all the zeros together like that may confuse people.

Thanks! I plan to clean up the final product, don't worry. This is just a rough draft. I'll be fine tuning it to be 30,000 or 30 000 because I don't like using things like '30K', '1mill', etc. I just find it unappealing.

I would definitely buy! I usually see hybrids going for 50k minimum! Also, I agree with Duzzel, using shorthand like 30k is a lot easier to read than 30000, especially if you write it without the comma (30,000)

I figure that because my shop will be from a town where time-travel is a no-no, I would have cheaper, affordable prices. And as mentioned above, I will format the thread when created to be much more easier to read. Its only a rough draft, after all! XD

I think your prices are great, competitive with other shops I've seen. My advice, if you want it, is to get a good stock growing before you start selling- if I remember right, you only get five new flowers each day, so that adds up to 35 a week which won't give you much variety

I'm working on it. Slowly, but surely. The woes of time travel being a big no-no. XD

I've been working on lilies and roses mostly, with pansies on the side. The blue rose is eluding me right now. Trying to get hybrid red roses. ;~;

Is it really only 5? I thought it was a maximum of 16?

Your prices look really fair to me. The only change I would make is to charge more for the Black Cosmos because they are more rare than the pink and orange, also harder to breed. Same thing with the White Carnations, they are harder to breed and you should charge a little more. Just my opinion from past purchases. Good luck with your shop
