Opinion on water tiles?

What do you think about water tiles? You know the river type ones. I have them in my town, but I'm thinking of removing them. They just seem so.. flat.
So, tell me. What is your personal opinion on them? Do you have them in your town?

I think they can look really nice, depending on how they are placed and decorated (flowers around them, etc). I only have a couple of 1-square-wide water tiles in my town. I'd get more if I had more pattern space but I don't want to make a mule character.

I don't have them in my town yet but I do have the QR code machine today, and yes I do think the river tiles are really great. They add more beauty to decorating your town.

If only we could add more detail to design tiles ;-;
I'd love to add "sounds" to tiles when we step on them. i.e. when we step on a water tile it would sound like you're walking along the sea by the beach.
Just like having different flooring in our house has different sounds.

It looks like someone has literally painted them on the ground. Too flat. :/ Although they can look gorgeous in pictures, the illusion fades once you see them "live".

I'm in the process of re-pathing my town. I found some plain tiles, but I also found some simple water paths (two vertical, one horizontal, one corner) to change it up a little bit.
I like them. I'm super tired of regular paths in my town, so it's a nice change of pace.

I've personally never liked them.
They look great on pictures but when you're avtually in the town it makes no sense and it's so unreal.

I use these in town - the illusion is ruined when you step over them, of course, but sometimes I still catch myself avoiding them when I'm walking around because they still look like real water to me lol.

In pictures, they look gorgeous and seem to add so much life into your town.

In the actual game though, the fact they don't move or have any texture or depth makes them kind of unpleasant. Which is a shame, aaa.

I tend to like them! They make the town more visually-interesting, in my opinion and look nice along regular pathways. I use them sparingly in my town.

It doesn't bother me too much that they don't move. I can use my imagination, I guess, haha.

i love them, theyre my favorite type of path. not entirely sure why, but ive always just kind of been a sucker for them. i think most of them are gorgeous. when it comes to looking "flat", i generally have that complaint with stairs, or fences. but im usually able to suspend my disbelief enough for the water QR codes.

Not a big fan and wouldn't use them in my own town. But they can look nice when used well!

Even though they look fake & flat sometimes, I still think they're gorgeous <3 I use lots of them in both of my towns^^

I love them, and I tend to tweak mine to match the grass more precisely. They remind me of the old RPGs I used to play, so I don't care if they look convincing to other people. What I would like to see are dirt paths lined with flowers where the dirt looked like dirt, and not graham crackers. That would be impressive to me.

I think I use paths from the same designer as yours hehe^^ they look so pretty ;w;
