Open plot not selling?

Hey so I did some mystery island traveling. I decided to let fate move someone in instead. I did TT to the next day. Then they next, and so on. The plot hasn’t sold. I went back to present day, still not sold. Is this a known issue?

Sometimes it takes more than one day for the plot to sell, I've heard up to 3 days? Although I do find it strange that it didn't autofill when you TT back

It can be more than 3 for sure. The last time I had a plot open it was open for 4 days straight before I found someone to fill it. It makes me curious what the max actually is.

Oh cool. I think I did more than that even. I always assumed it was just a day lol

Yeah, it can take a few days. I think they did it that way so people have time to search for villagers using NMTs to invite to their island before the game moves someone in for you.

I've seen someone mentioning it can take up to a full week for a plot to be sold/filled by a random.

I just had to laugh. I actually wanted to leave it up to the universe and then the plot kept staying open. I think I got my answer from the AC gods

Mine has extended well beyond a week. Interesting. Welp hopefully I can get someone to move into it still at least lol

Well this is a 10th but I thought I’ve had 10 and had Nate move in randomly before. But I’m cool with it not selling.

Yeah, I've heard the 10th can be sold randomly, but maybe it's more difficult for it to sell?

It was finally sold when I logged in this morning. Dom was the random move in. It could be a lot worse, so I feel pretty at peace with my choice to let the uninverse decide haha.

i had a plot open for six days before i found a villager to fill it! i wondered if it might be because i was island hopping every day, but it's more likely that has nothing to do with it and it's just random. i'm also curious about the max though

I was island hopping a lot too and did some time traveling just to try to see who bought the plot. That led me to this thread haha. My max is 10 right now.
