The first fireworks of the summer were last night. I asked Isabelle to include one of the town flag, although it doesn't show that great. It cleared an initiative, though, and that's what counts. ;) I got to watch the show with Midge, Kitt, Bonbon, and Vic. As usual, the AC Fireworks Co. put on a great show.

I didn't bother buying cookies from Redd, because I already have all the prizes. He'll get enough of my money from the art tent, thank you. I did, however, get a bopper from Isabelle. Don't anyone tell her I sold it to Reese, okay?

I mailed the remade table to Hazel. I can't wait until she wakes up this morning so I can see if she swapped it for the original. Now if I could only figure out how to get rid of that fish tank....

The only thing in my mailbox this morning was a letter from Vic. No gift, just a sweet note. He said that the nice thing about letters is that they let you say things you wouldn't be able to say to someone face-to-face, and that he could tell me that he thinks I'm irreplaceable. Guys, my big, grumpy bull made me "aww"! He's such a sweetie, once you get to know him.

Midge wanted to play hide-and-seek right off the bat, and I never say no to that. It might have worked better if my horoscope hadn't been that I will trip a lot today, but I still found her, Kitt, and Roald. Midge is really too easy, because she always stays near the Town Plaza. Kitt is the tricky one; she's really quite good at the game. I still found them all and Midge gave me a desk light as a prize. It's more about playing the game and making her happy, but I can always use a few more bells.

While they were there, I greeted Kitt and Roald. Kitt asked for some new furniture (anything I think would look nice in her house) and Roald told me that Beardo is considering moving. I'll have to squash that idea, once my blue bear wakes up.

Redd's tent is set up in the Plaza. Did he just stay there all night? I wouldn't put it past him. Hopefully he has something I can either use for the house or the museum (one of my initiatives is to donate a piece of art. I hope he will have something I haven't already donated).

Picking up the last of Marty's RV items today. I need the bed and maybe the chair. I'll have to double-check my storage items.

I learned the hard way that the campsite goes just a little too far south for cedars. That means the last three spots I want to plant will have to be bushes or chopped bamboo. I don't mind, but it hurt to lose a cedar sapling.

Speaking of bamboo, I need one more sprout for the secret glade. The perfect cherry fruited for the second time today, so by the end of the week, I'll have killed it for my Elder Tree. I'll still put mushrooms, when they spawn, and maybe a few more white cosmos, but that'll finish the area. I promise to take a picture then.

For the rest of the cedar forest, I decided to go to yellow cosmos coming out of the glad and around The Roost. Across the path, into the campsite, I have red cosmos. It ties together, but goes along with the idea of moving south through town and also gives each area its own bit of definition.

I think this has been long enough. Can't imagine that anyone will read it all, but here is a plate of cookies, if you did!
