Definitely online. It is so bad!
Airport is horrible. That dodo talks way too much, all the time the same question 'are you sure you want to open for everyone blablabla' YES I KNOW fifty times you ask me that! And when something goes wrong, his face is... grrr I hate him now haha
Also the loading time for someone to join the island. More than one minute per person I think, and if there's a lot of people, a lot of minutes to wait. Same for someone living. That's a true nightmare. When I'm playing Smite, a MOBA, when my friend connect, I don't receive a long loading screen saying 'xxx is coming to play with you! Enjoy the battleground of the gods' Idk if it is necessary all this waiting time because of the Switch or if it's just to make us suffer with 'cute thing' but so long and annoying than I want to launch my Switch through the window...
I could be way more simple if they want to! Stop all these useless dialogues at first. Please.
