i will forever be mad at the fact that Inkwell died
AND THE FACT THAT WE GOT MORE OF SPECIES WE ALREADY HAD WAY TOO MUCH OF like Goats/Cats (i love cats but pls)

they should have made another octopus, mainly a female. We only have Marina. new species wouldn't really make sense bc that makes things more confusing but they killed the octopi- we literally had inkwell, BRAND NEW TO NEW LEAF, just to lose him

New Leaf had a few newbies ON TOP OF THE AMIIBO VILLAGERS they brought iback from the old games YEARS LATER to revive the game- and they were all good villagers. THEN THEY HAD THE COLLAB VILLAGERS who were also amazing. Like where IS everyone?
The old villagers from WA are there but not the collab ones.

Even if it wasn't an Octopus, as much as I really like all of the new villagers (I seriously don't dislike a single one right now) they could have introduced another villager of a limited species or a new species entirely, but they gave us two bears? I get that they were different sized bears but they could have still don't a different animal instead of either Judy or Megan.

personally, i feel if they're not going to front load this game with previous levels of features and characters, i would kinda expect for them to add villagers every season, just to continuously add some of that which should have been default, but also to maintain interest, keep people involved in nintendo online trading, etc. and tbh, from a monetary standpoint, adding more only increases the amount of amiibo runs people can buy more of, so. why not mr tendo? why not.....

Agree so much with this! Was honestly expecting more new villagers given how many new ones we got for New Leaf (Literally every species got at least one new villager, plus we got two whole new species of villagers!).
I love Raymond and Reneigh, and Megan and Judy are cool too, but I feel like the bears, cubs, horses, and cats (especially) are already flooded with villagers and that some other species (Octopi, Monkeys, Lions, Kangaroos, Chickens, Eagles, etc.) could use some more villagers.

I agree! Especially since Inkwell wasn't brought back, it really stinks there's only 3 octopi again. I'd love to see them make an Uchi and/or Smug octopi since those two personalities are the smallest so far to add some new faces.

While I'm glad there's nearly 400 villagers in NH, it's just sad they only decided to introduce 8 new villagers.

There was definitely an opportunity for more octopus characters to be added. Like maybe a blue female villager to go with Marina? Just like Nan & Chevre or Chrissy & Francine.

hard agree. i’m guessing there will be more villager releases over time, like they did with the welcome amiibo release. that said, i was pretty bummed! i don’t have strong feelings about any of the new villagers, and i was hoping i’d have someone to hunt. a snooty octopus queen would be divine.

I want Inkwell back simply because I wouldn't pass up the opportunity to say the word jocktopus. Never had him in NL, but this is top of my priority list, before all else.
