On having two islands

I’m seriously debating getting another island. For those that have multiple islands, do you play both in the same hemisphere or is it better to have one island in the north and one in the south?

I have two islands and I play both in the same hemisphere because I'd rather wait for winter to come at its normal time of the year.I live in Arizona so it would be kind of weird playing on an island covered with snow when it's 115°F(46°C) outside.

Thanks for the replies. Yeah, I don't time travel so that makes sense. Part of me, though, doesn't want to spoil what's coming in fall/winter...lol. If I do keep them in the same hemi, I'd have to play different dates for sure so special events aren't happening in both towns on the same day. So silly to struggle over this, but I'm am!!

its understandable... i didnt tt for the first three months. I didnt want to poor anymore and during that time the dup glitch aggravated me.

We need a second switch for a second island, right? I'd love a second island but I don't want to invest in a second switch...

Yea, unfortunately you need a second switch to have another island

I think if I had a second Island I’d still have it set to the same hemisphere. Looking forward to the seasons to come is more important to me than having seasonal variety in the moment.

I rarely touch my second island.

I really want two islands but unfortunately can't really justify buying a whole second switch just for that. If I did I would have them set at different times of the year, have different themes and villagers. The villagers are a struggle for me because I get attached to the ones I have but also want to have as many new villagers to me as possible.
