Okay how many DIY bottles do y'all get on your island per day?

I have 2 users, so I get 2. But one of them I never use, only to decorate their house, so I don't even look at the beaches. When I come back to my main caracter, the second bottle is there

I generally get one a day, but I think there was one day that I got two.
When I had two characters I got two a day, but I deleted my second character and am back to one a day.

sometimes i get only 1 but if i picked it up and then play for a while (like a few hours) i get a second one

That's weird! I always pick up mine the first time I see it on the beach - that could be any time I first start playing for the day within the first half hour or so of playing - and I never see another the whole rest of the day. Do you play every day or do you skip days a lot? (that's my latest guess on what the factor is)

I play every day and only get one. Ever.

My S.O. plays his character, on the same island, very rarely. It spawns a bottle for him, and if he doesn't pick it up, I can go grab it later. A 2nd bottle doesn't spawn if he doesn't boot up that day. (It also spawns another glowing spot, and money rock iirc, but I can't access those if I'm playing on my own)
I'd guess 2 bottles is either extremely rare, or people just forgot to grab the previous days', or another player on their island forgot or habitually doesn't grab it. Even booting a charcter up to like, idk, check their mail, should trigger a 2nd bottle. And they might say "but I didn't forget!”, but the point is that they forgot.

hmm now that you say that, i cant really rule out that one might be from the day before. maybe the first one is from the day before and the second one only spawns when you picked up the first one? because i never had two at the same time but later on i found a second one

Ooh, we might be getting close to the answer then! Whenever I see someone saying they have 1 bottle a day they always state how many hours played, they play every day, check several times a day, etc. And as I'm looking at the poll, getting 2 bottles seems to be pretty rare compared to getting 1. So now I guess that's the next big question to ask - whether TTing or skipping days or forgetting to pick them up one day is what people getting 2 bottles have in common

When I had 1 player character only, I only ever got one. Now I have 2 players, and I get 1 a day if I only sign in with my main character. But if I sign in with both on one day, I will get 2. That's because one spawns every time a new player logs in. So if my player 2 character doesn't pick up their bottle, and I sign back in with my main, the bottle will still be there. This is 100% how it works. I have played every single day and I know for a fact you can only get multiple bottles a day if you have alt characters.

I have also not picked up a bottle the day before, and the bottles did not stack up the next day. The same bottle from the day before was in the same place, and no other spawned.

The max I can get are 2 bottles. But that only happens when I pick the first one early in the day.

Does anyone know what is the ideal time frame to pick up the first bottle so we are guaranteed the 2nd one by 6PM?

Okay, thanks for the info. I guess the way I worded the poll wasn't good for deducing this. So if this is wrong I would need to hear from someone who doesn't have multiple characters and got 2 bottles in one day

Just the other day I replied to a post saying I had gotten two for the first time, and since then I have been getting 2 per day. As others were saying, it probably is because I play around reset and then play on and off during the day / night. However it has definitely only been happening recently that I have been getting 2.

edit: I just read the reply two above mine and I do have two characters, but I have had my second character since April and again it is a very new thing that I am getting two per day. I hope this helps.

I usually only ever get one, though I do remember getting two a couple of times. I thought it was because the change of time as there was one in the morning and one in the evening or something, but I can't remember correctly.

I get 2 in one day if I play for awhile, go off island to do a trade with someone on Bell Tree, then come back - I will find a second one on the shore. Just what I've noticed

They might have time traveled, or have a second player.

I'm speaking as a solo player with one character.

FWIW that’s been my experience too. I’ve yet to ever see a second bottle. Single character, no TT, never missed a day. But if it happens will report.

For the most part I just get 1 bottle a day, with only one character. Though there were a couple of times I ended up getting 2, which was after I had island hopped a whole bunch.
