I FINALLY got Elmer in my town and I had the PERFECT spot for him to plot in and the perfect spot for my next characters house. And I freakin set the date wrong with my mayor and his plot is right where I wanted my characters house to be. I literally don't have room for it anywhere else in my town unless I change a bunch of stuff around.

Oh my god it's so stupid but I feel so frustrated and upset. My town was almost perfect and then this happens. Ughhhhhhhh I cannot believe I made such a stupid mistake. :( this sucks.

I keep trying to be positive because the plot could be a lot worse, but still I took so much time to get Elmer and then right when it's about to be finished it gets all messed up. Just UGH

Have you guys made dumb mistakes like this before? What did you do to fix it? :(

I'm glad you got Elmer tho, I had him for over 2 years! Usually my mistakes come to trampling flowers

Time travelling and forgetting to store all of my hybrids in my storage locker...
*sighhh*

Yeah, except now I think I'm going to move Bam out so I can move Elmer out and then find a new jock to replace Bam, and someone else to replace Elmer and get them plotted in the right spot. Just ughhh. This ruined my day!!

I actually almost did that this morning when I was plot resetting for marshal. I wasn't paying attention, and during the 3rd or 4th try, I accidentally loaded up my main mayor's file instead of creating an alternate second file. I was running around in a panic "oh my goodness! where did you put you house! please let it be okay! pleeeasssee"

thankfully he was just fine >.< he was in a perfectly fine spot for me. things could have ended up pretty bad though if he plotted right over a path, or right in front of one of the beach entrances. I have public work projects blocking all of the spots that people liked to plot in now. I'm hopefully ready for my last dreamie and he shouldn't plot down in too horrible of a place.

I've mentioned this a few times but I had something like thing happen with Rolf. All my villagers are in the same southern area along the beach, but then I messed up resetting and Rolf and he plotted in the north directly next to Brewster's and ruined my little OCD thing of having the same number of each type of fruit tree in my town.

Anyways, I adore Rolf and just learned to deal with it. At first I was eager to get him out, but I eventually I redid the area around his house and ended up liking the new arrangement and keeping it. Since I'm such a perfectionist/control-freak I always like to think of little hiccups like that as a good opportunity to adapt rather than start over (which is always my first impulse too).

Anyways, I know how you feel! My advice would be to give it some time (a few days, maybe a week or two) and try to work around it before you make a decision. Although I know what it's like to want to fix something the second it goes wrong :)

I mowed over one of my ONLY blue pansies while trying to NOT run through it; I started running again too soon and nailed it :/ Eventually in my new town my pansies had produced ANOTHER blue pansy, so I was planting my only two blue pansies on the beach to breed them, then I was going to dig a hole to plant fertilizer when I DUG INTO one of them! D: I haven't gotten another blue pansy since then QUQ

Really sucks tho, sorry man D: Something similar also happened when I needed to TT for something and I forgot that I needed to PLOT RESET first and now I have freaking Curlos in my town >:C Dangit.

I screwed up plot resetting the other day because I hit the wrong day. I was disappointed, but I'm just going to deal with it. The plot isn't THAT bad... just kind of off on it's own by the town hall, all other villagers are across 'town'. It was annoying, but it will hopefully encourage me to be more mindful next time.

I spent like a whole day without any breaks to plot reset deirdre.. so sleepy I loaded up mayor and ;-; worst spot everrr

note to self take breaks when resetting

I don't plot reset because my character slots are full and I kinda liked just letting my town come together naturally to some extent, but I try to be careful and put public work projects in places I absolutely didn't want my dreamies moving onto. When I picked up Chief from a cycling town I made a calculation mistake and he put his house RIGHT IN FRONT OF TOWN HALL.

I know it seems bad right now, But you will figure it out.. Pretty soon you will realize that what you thought was a huge horror inst so bad.. Just be creative, ... Sorry this happened, I dont plot reset in any of my five towns, I like for them to progress naturally.

Crisis totally averted I spent all day yesterday moving out Bam and then Elmer and then I got Fauna and Diana and tben reset them into perfect spots ☺️ It took FOREVERRRRRR but it's all better now!!

THIS HAPPENED WITH MOE AND IT WAS TERRIBLE. Terrible I tell you. He plopped his house RIGHT in front of my bridge and I had to re-landscape a huge block of my town and set up a new bridge in a very annoying spot. But I still think re-landscaping is easier than trying to move him out and then trying to move the next one in the right spot.

I'm sorry that happened to you :( I hate when i mess things up because of setting wrong days when tt. This one time i wanted to move a day forward and accidentally moved a month forward and i lost all of my hybrids. Hopefully this hiccup teaches you to be a bit more careful. I'm a lot more careful with tt now.
