Something's happened. Basically, I was TTing one day at a time to get a villager out in my main town. After I did that, I was bored to death. So I decided to just tap the screen randomly with my eyes closed and see what date I ended up with. Trouble was, at that moment, the doorbell rang in my house, which startled me. So I forgot to tell Isabelle I wanted to change the date. When I opened my eyes, Isabelle was saying " I hope we meet again, someday, somewhere!"


I had reset my town.

On the plus side, resetting is not that bad, but it sucks that it was accidental. If you need any help rebuilding your town just let me know. I don't have many IGB but I'm sure I can be helpful in some other way

To be frank, she has no one to be upset with but herself. It was an ill-advised thing to do. When I used to create new characters for plot resetting I was always extra careful when I went back to delete the extra character because I'd hate if I ended up deleting my town on accident.

You can't delete your mayor.

Actually you can. The option is "Demolish my house!" or something like that, and it'll delete your mayor and town.
