Hi guys! I have a somewhat urgent question, I hope someone knows the answer to this

After seven months, I finally get Barold to move out yesterday. Someone come and adopted him, and I thought it was all done with.

But no, I loaded my game this morning, and to my distress an unwanted plot appears. Luckily I caught the plot on the title screen, so I made a new character to check on the plot. It was Prince. Not only I don't want another lazy in my town, I'm afraid that he'll stay in my town for months like Barold did D: I quit the game without saving.

I'm planning to move Marshal from my second town, and he's already in boxes. If I TT to the day before Prince's plot appears and invite Marshal, will the invitation override Prince's? Will Marshal even accept my invitation?

If I'm correct, TTing backwards still counts as one day so Prince's plot will still go down, I think it's too late to do anything.

I could be wrong though, so best wait for other answers.

Okay, look at it this way

To invite a villager you MUST have 9 or less villagers and NO PLOTS at all. If there's a plot in your town then that accounts for +1 villager. No, do not time travel. TTing back a few days is just the same as travelling forward a few days. Nothing will be un-done.

If you have a plot in your town atm then there's not escaping the plot. Regardless of whom you get, you will have that villager.

So no, you can't time travel back a few days to prevent a villager setting up a plot in your town. Once a plot is set up, you can reset x amount of times and there will always be a plot, so travelling forward or backwards in time wouldn't solve anything. I'd recommend to just plot reset until you get a villager that you're happy with.

You can try plot resetting since you haven't invited Prince in specifically...he shouldn't be there the next time you load up the game I would think unless if he's a voided villager/streetpass. Do a new save file character and run around to check which plot is there. If it's a villager you like then save and if not do not save and try again. You may also find that one of the times you load up the game with a new save file there will be no plot at all so you can save and delete the character then use your mayor to invite Marshal.

If Prince is not your tenth villager, he is likely randomly generated by the game and you can reset until you get someone you like. If he is number 10 you probably picked him up from a streetpass or villager pool somewhere, and you are unfortunately stuck with him

Unfortunately, at this point there is nothing else that can be done. Once a plot is down there is no way to get rid of it. You are getting a new villager one way or another.

On the plus side, there is a way to hold Marshal in boxes. I've never done it myself, but if you keep the day set to the current day and never change it, Marshal should never leave boxes and you can hold him there indefinitely until you are ready to transfer him down the road. Unfortunately this means your second town will be unplayable for a while.

At the moment, in my town, I haven't officially crossed the 6am mark. Let's say the the last time I saved was on 20 Feb 5:00 am. I have 9 villagers and no plot at all in my town. I haven't loaded the game using any existing character ever since.

However, Prince's plot is going to to appear if I cross the 6am mark (20 Feb, 6:01am). If I TTed back to 20 Feb, 1:00 am and invite Marshal, will it not work?
I have read around the forum that invitation overrides streetpass, so I was hoping that it will work ;.;

Yes that will work as long as you didn't go on past 6 am with a saved character. Go back to anytime before 6 am and as long as there was no plot marshal will be able to move in I understood what you meant

Do you tt in game clock or through the ds? It is better to change the clock through the ds.

Oh thank you Sansa!! Yes I haven't go past 6am using an existing character And I'm glad to hear that I make sense haha. English is not my native language x_x;
So my invitation will cancel Prince's move, right? What a relief! I was afraid I'm going to stuck with another lazy for 7 more months >.<

I have never try to TT using DS clock actually, will it automatically sync with in game clock?

That I am not sure as I only tt with the ds clock. But i think if you normally tt with the in game clock and have had no issues then it should be fine. I cant say for sure As long as you didn't go in the game with saved character when you saw the plot on the screen everything should be fine. I am crossing my fingers for you.

Ah I see, I'll just TT using in game clock then, since it is the one I'm more familiar with x)
I won't be able to access another 3ds until the day after tomorrow, so I'll have to wait Will be the longest 2 days ever, haha! I have written the exact time to TT back, so everything should be okay. Fingers crossed ;v;

And sorry to hear about Zucker! D: I hope he'll ask to move soon. How long has he been staying in your town?
