I was talking to Genji at around 4am my time but 1pm in game. And he mentioned about how rumors were scary. Then he mentioned he heard a rumor he was prince of another world.

And i remembered someone saying he was based off of 'Prince Genji'.

AND OH MY GOD HES TALKING ABOUT OUR WORLD RIGHT!? Like, I just sat there in my bed for 5 minutes staring at the screen because i FINALLY got it.

Has this ever happened to anyone else? so im not alone ;;

Genji is actually my number one favorite villager in all of ACNL lol. Only because i got SO close to him in one town, and his jock personality always came off funny cute rather than arrogant to me.

But I heard him say that a lot when someone wasnt moving out, so I always thought 'what a strange thing for him to say...' and now i got it and I just....wow. IDK why it was like so mind boggling to me. (Maybe because it was 4am i should have been sleeping)

i dont know ;; I have never heard another jock say that, I had Rudy and he never said that. But maybe I never spoke to Rudy enough.....

Maybe they put it in for all jocks but with Genji in mind specifically? Since it would still make sense for any other jock. Some dialogs really seem like they're made with a particular villager in mind, they sometimes have that little extra meaning that makes them fit.

ohhh, i never knew this. I thought Genji was special, but it might be that since he is the main jock i speak to, i only heard him say it, and it fit him perfectly.

Their letters are really funny though. xD I love when i get his letters, they always make me smile even if they are repetitive. I had Goose once, and his jock personality with his look.... >< i hated him

Then again, some villagers when they say the same thing, come off different for me (like Bunnie/Chrissy say similar things but I read it differently to each one)

I'm sorry but yes, it's really true! It would be fantastic if every villager had its own, unique dialogue (or at least a few unique lines), but I figure that'd be a loooot of work. Who knows though, maybe they'll do it in the next game?
