Once, when I was little, I was coming home after a walk with my grandma and when we came in, there was a gigantic wasp (Pretty sure it was a hornet) clinging to the kitchen ceiling. It looked to be a couple inches long and really fat.

It looked exactly like that ^

I remember smashing that thing under a pillow.

yea.. there is some 'japonica' giant hornet that lives there, they are.. huge.

Wasps keep trying to build a nest near my front door. I could see two or three little brown tubes forming in the corner. Thank god we got to it on time. I suggest getting a vacuum and using the hose attachment.
