Oh, for crud's sake!!!

I am preparing to reset my Main Town. I have another thread about it, but this one is more specific. I have a serious problem and wonder if you all have ever had it and if there is anything I can do about it.

I have already moved all my stuff and money to my other town. The problem is that I've already TT'd over a week day by day just waiting for Isabelle to say that "So and so is moving tomorrow, isn't that sad?"

But NO. NOTHING. I have 10 villagers and NOBODY is moving? Seriously???

I have to do this to give some people their promised dreamies. But how long does it take for somebody to move? I'm currently set at December 11th. I don't know if Toy Month has anything to do with this? Usually somebody says they are moving every few days.

Or am I being paranoid for no reason?

I always try TT-ing during a NON-holiday/event weeks/months. I like TT-ing during April/March since those weeks tend to not have much going on. (at least compared to other months^^)

Oh, good point! I'll set to a different month. Maybe September? Then I'll try. I hadn't thought that a few special days would make a difference but it probably does.


Oh noes!!! The one villager who FINALLY decided to move is Sylvia! Oh, goodness... nobody will want her and and I'll need to fill in to get the next one out...

Ah well... This angst will make my NEW Main Town all the more worth it, right?

I had two villagers move out during December, so that's odd! Maybe they just like you too much

I had a villager move out in December and one move in on toy day. Lousy luck I would guess.

You might have perfect town status, they take longer to decide to move when you have that. o: I remember having the exact same problem trying to move out some starter villagers in my old town while simultaneously working on getting the golden can.

The 2 days forward 2 days back method works great for me! Also, make sure your friendship level is high. If you haven't been talking to them for this TT week, they might not be as friendly with you, and for some reason many times people won't move unless you're friendly with them.

I had this one person stuck in my town, I played about 20 hours straight practically just trying to get her to move. And she never moved until I tried to be her bff. Since then, I've been experimenting with TT. When the villagers that I'm keeping ask me to do something for them, I decline. Not enough time to complete everything. But the people I'm trying to get rid of, I do what they ask, I visit them in their house if they're not out. Lately, they've been SO much easier to get rid of this way!

Can it be the same two days over and over? Like you go to Saturday, Feb. 1, then back to Thurs., Jan. 30, look for a mover and let's say stop them. Then go to Feb. 1 and back to Jan. 30, etc.?

Thanks, everybody! I think I've lately let my friendship level drop...I'll bet that's the problem.

I finally got a couple to begin moving out when I backed up from December to September. *sigh* It's taking so freaking LONG, tho!

Not to mention that I'll be losing a couple of villagers I love so much. I just hope to get them back someday. I'll have to post a few begging threads, I guess! Lol! But my loss, hopefully as temporary as it may be, will be someone else's gain. I have a few villagers people love.

Oh, and I've been travelling thru September, and then back to the beginning of September. Like twerkstrider said, it will keep me from moving too far into the year.

I don't like doing the 2 DAYS FORWARD, 2 DAYS BACK, 2 DAYS FORWARD/etc. There's a chance you'll lose a Villager during the 2 days forward, usually a Villager wants to move every 5 DAYS. If your friendship is high with them, on that 5th day - you'll get a ping. If your friendship is low, they'll end up moving on that (roughly) 5th day.

Okay. I'm glad I'm sticking to one day at a time, now. I'm only stuck for awhile waiting on the person who wants Willow. I hope she responds soon so I can continue on.

I don't want to lose anybody else. I sent you a PM about a HUGE screwup I made a few days ago, but also I made my first big mistake in a similar fashion shortly after I joined this forum.

I'll never take such risks again. At least I'll do my best to make darned certain I don't.

At least the month of September seems to be working for me. The only day I "wasted" was the Full Moon. So I just took a couple wheat bundles and moved on.
