Well birds aren't really the type to like to be petted and held and stuff right?
Most reptiles are docile and love to be held (except turtles), Chinese Water Dragons (what Drake is) are very friendly and love to be handled.
The only time Drake has ever did anything mean like bite me was once when he was hungry and wasnt paying attention and he thought my hand was a cricket, he let go immedietly though once he noticed it was my finger.

I was like oh no I have rabies!
I swear I was scared for like 6 days xD

how much are lizards?

Well it depends on the species of Lizard, however that's just to buy the lizard, any type of lizard can cost alot and take alot of care in the long run, like for instance, you could do some research of various types of lizards, i'd recomend getting a species of lizard that eats fruit and vegetables (trust me, Insectivores, meaning they eat bugs and stuff, like Drake are even harder to take care of)
They aren't easy to care for like a dog or a cat because different species have different needs and things, Drake costed 25$, then around 30$ for the first tank, then 9$ for substrate (the stuff you put in the bottom) around 2$ about every week or two for crickets, not to mention I haven't even begun the major spending, heat lamps can cost around 50$ and UV lamps even more, Lizards can be major money suckers :X
Out of everything though a Heat Lamp is needed more than anything, right now i'm getting by because it's summer and my AC is broken, but Lizards need heat to survive, and youd need to get a thermameter too so you can watch humidity and temperature you can research different lizard species to see what they need, what temperatures and humidities they need, etc.
