Story of Boredom

Also, this was made for shiggles by todays events...----------------------
----------------------------------------------------

Deep within the depths of OakRidge's beauty and grace lies a deadly secret. A secret so meretricious that it was made into a pointless and silly story for the sake of dramatic laughs. For the Mayor of this town was not no ordinary human that crosses the paths of these peaceful creatures; this human was a Mad Scientist! Her name was simply 'Natalie from OakRidge,' as there was no documents of this unknown person's last name that simply stepped up with an unknown source of power that made her able to take over an entire down within a single step off of the train from which she arrived on day one. For weeks she has been hiding within her home with her lifeless equipment and experimented subjects of bugs and fish that came from the land. She was looking for something... the secret to rebirth. It intrigued this scientist on how the population of insects and fish seem to replenish so quickly it seemed to have zero effect on the environment; especially in the cases of the depleting butterfly population in the more human-populated areas.

After her few weeks of studying, she thought that she had discovered the key... However, she couldn't very well use her discoveries upon the very creatures that she was withdrawing this in this experiment; so she took a step up, and managed to get her hands on a recently deceased human male from another town. At the time, all that 'Natalie' knew was that this was a man named 'Corduro' from a town by the name of 'Wishdrop.'

She, with the help of her lovely assistant, Mikuru from Castle ˜(star), after placing an IV in his arm with the unknown green liquid, they gazed upon the lifeless man. Natalie began to have a small beat of sweat run down the side of her head while she watched the electric jump between the rods.

"When we hit 100... activate the switch." was all the mad scientist said, before she began to call out the numbers. "....70....85.....90 percent---100! NOW ASSISTANT! NOW!"

"IT's ALIVE!" Natalie yelled as the revived male came to live, and stepped off of the lab table and onto the hard robo floor. "Assistant! Make a record of this success of life!" the scientist continued, while the revived person looked around the room with curiosity. Although it hit the mad scientist late, it triggered off a but to late that perhaps revving and injecting this particular person was a bad idea; as she only then caught a glimpse of the blood covered police patch on the man's shoulder. At that moment, the officer turned around and recognized her.

"Natalie--your under arrest!" he cried out. Immediately, the mad scientist began to run as the officer gave chase. The assistant was the first to escape, as she at least knew with all of the illegal substances. The scientist, slightly stunned by when they were identified, turned and ran out last... only to be given chased to. Though, they parted ways upon running, It only took one glance back to see that the officer had multiplied...

As Natalie looked back, to see that not even her assistant would be able to get away, Natalie looked back ahead, to spot to late the edge of a cliff. She lost her footing... and began to fall...

....end of part 1....

The scientist woke up in the clutches of the officer as she was being dragged to the dock, up until he noticed that she had awakened, only to throw her to her feet and push her on; no matter how much she ached from her fall. Perhaps she survived the fall, or the man caught her with his now unnatural powers she had accidentally given him; but she knew that it was over. But upon looking up, she spotted her assistant, being held captive by an unusual turtle. He had to be in cahoots with the officer, but she knew that they were being sent off to an island at this point. She felt horrible to have dragged her assistant into this mess, and looked over to her once they reached the boat, only to say very few words to her just before getting shoved in the boat: 'It was nice working with you.'

After the lone, and quiet ride.... quiet to most of the party as others held their hands over their ears to the turtles loud off-tuned melody to what made it seem like forever to reach the island where they would be forever doomed..... images of terrible food, dark cells, and stripped cloths kept running thought he scientists mind. She only looked up once the turtle had stopped his screeching, to see where she was at before being asked to take a seat.

"Alright." the officer began. "Go on though those doors and I will meet you there." he spoke as he released their hands of the cuffs. What they were about to see was nothing that they ever suspected.

"Oh no!" Natalie complained as she went off. "They've taken me to a...... a.... HAPPY PLACE?!" she stated in a shocked outrage. It was worse then she thought! The assistant soon came out after her. At least they would share the island together. But the first thing that the scientist did was look to see if there was anyone else outside of them in this newfound prison island of joy and sunshine, and soon found a native that wiggled and squirmed. "What is it?" the assistant asked. "A native... but its singing a haunting tune... best keep our distance till we can understand what it is saying." Natalie replied.

However the assistant, being the bold one, marched right upto the unknown thing, and soon, turned around while holding two fishing rods and nets; sporting the biggest grin Natalie had ever seen. "Look! It's nice. It gave me these things."

With barely any time to estimate the situation, all the scientist did was sigh and speak up. "Well, it looks like that you have finally got that lifetime tropical vacation that you always wanted." However to Natalie's surprise, the assistant began to scream with joy, before lunging at the scientist in a hug, being showered by a line of endless praise as though this was the grace of the scientist that allowed her to enjoy herself; before spinning around and dragging the scientist away by the arm after shoving the things in Natalie's free arm and began to drag her around like a personal toy toward the ocean waters edge.

Although normally she would fight off her assistant for such acts, she soon spotted the police officer on the island. But how? Didn't she last see him inside dropping them off at the door? He must have multiplied again. That thought was uneasy in Natalie's stomach, as that means it would soon enough be a one-man security force keeping the two women on the island. It had to be the worst mistake she has ever made.

He held an axe, forcing the woman to fish, catch bugs, and sing songs of love and peace over a campfire. It didn't take more then ten seconds for the scientist to wish that she hit her head when falling off that cliff earlier. But soon the chance had came, as once the officers back had turned, she began to converse with her assistant. "We need to get out of here!" Natalie hissed to her. "Well, we can always walk home." the assistant responded. At this point, the scientist dulled her eyes before she decided to go with it and act excited. "Walking on water--your a genius!"

However it would be when the scientist sighed and looked up to the starlit sky. "It is beautiful out here. You can see everything. Look, there is Mars." Natalie remarked, pointing up to it. This caused the assistent to look up and give a small gasp. "It's so tiny..." Natalie just reached over and rubbed her back. "Yes... yes it is."

It didnt take long for the officer, and his copies to pass out, as multiplying did take up a lot of energy. After some deep thinking, it was probably best if they did swim back... and as our troublesome pair swimmed off back to OakRidge... the scientist couldn't help but wonder if one stayed behind... or if all of them will flourishing worldwide and chase them at ever corner of the earth...

Only time will tell...........

Still keen on joining! At the moment I'm only available on weekends, but I'm looking into getting internet access for when I'm away from home all week. So the best time at the moment is weekends until further notice!

I will be holding an event today. I will list the thread when it is created.

Is it okay to join privately? I'm only asking because I don't want random people friending me without my knowledge, even if it is cool people. I prefer getting to know people first.

---edit: just to clarify I meant keeping my friend code off the forums and sending it to you through pm or something. Totally cool with the party thing.

Well that is kind of fickle. Yes it can be private, but thing is if you do wrong then it will have to be revealed... as people do not want tree cutters or turnip thieves or the like... its only fair to them too. So it is up to you or not. If you stay good then there is nothing to be worried about.

Besides, due to the recent (and highly unnecessary) response of trolls that does not understand that we have been around for six years; with a perfect record mind you; that I am willing to keep the new leaf members unlisted period until those select few people calm down. The last anyone needs is someone opening their notifications and see a bunch of hate mail. -.-

i find it funny that there is a 'group' tab now at the top, when here they should be hating on those 'official' people that really want 'closed groups' instead of the OakRidge Brigade, which is open to EVERYBODY.... but that is just a thought.

Moved this to the train station due to the fact that this is mostly for meeting people online. Also, try to save up for a group on TBT! Groups here have their own private board, that only members can take a part of! Shoot for that! :)

Thanks. I'm happy to follow the rules of conduct, I just want to know who has my information. I'm paranoid that way.

See that is what im talking about. This is a place for everyone.... not just 'members', so it should not be constricted to such things. Also this is not for meeting people... It is for UNITING people as a whole... not to 'meet' people. We do WORK, we make people happy. There is no 'meeting' people.

What i don't get is that we joined the same day, so you should know by now the original OakRidge Brigade doesn't do that. -.-; ....and why haven't I met you yet?

Uniting, meeting, whatever you want to call it, you're using this thread to connect to people online. It belongs in the Train Station. You get what I'm saying?

Yep.

Thus proves my point right there. If the OakRidge Brigade was a problem, they would have nuked the thread and everything else. Here they just moved it. So as stated, to many people are thinking to much about this.

Case closed.

Bwahahaha I thought you looked devilishly familiar. Yea I would love to join. I keep on fretting whenever I need to go over to someone's place or have them come here. It would be nice to finally not have to pull my hair out with worry on what they may do to my town.
