Northern and Southern Carts

Im sure that someones asked this before, but this has been bothering me since the first Animal Crossing game. Would the developers go out of their way to redo the game seasons just to fit the players?

I doubt it. How does the cart not fit southern/northern? It seems like a waste of time.

No, the seasons... its summer where i am, and it is winter where Australia is.... would it be winter in their animal crossing game now, or would they keep it summer just because developers are lazy? >>;

Australia got their own version of the game. It's winter in their's.

Found another one in an Australian forum saying that Animal Crossing games usually are based on the northern hemisphere

So I'm assuming they're at summer

It would be nice for some people to have the same seasons in their games like in the real live, but for others if they do that, like me, they will be no seasons because where I live we don't have 4 seasons (only rainy and sunny months), and I wouldn't like an Animal Crossing game with 8 moths of perpetual rain. ,

PD: also all the year will look like summer, with not winter or fall .
