Going into mayor or an existing character makes it permanent, unfortunately! D: If you were extremely willing to go through all the trouble, you could move her out giving her to someone to hold, cycle 16 villagers, and take her back to try again, but otherwise i'd say maneuver around it best you can.

EXACTLY WHAT happened to me yesterday night loool... and worse he was my #1.5 dreamie. I'm giving him up though, for another dreamie! Keep up the positive attitude and everything will be okay /o\
