ok so a while ago my DS would occasionally have this problem where when I saved my ACNL game it would take AGES...like, 5-10 minutes just to get past the saving screen. it stopped doing that for a while, but then starting like a day or two ago, it's been doing it almost every time I save, and it will no longer let me connect to the internet. it keeps saying error 003-1101 (could not connect to access point). I feel like the internet error might just be a problem with my router, but that doesn't explain why it takes literally 10 minutes to save. it takes that same amount of time to switch to local wireless, like when I want to visit a nearby town (which it will let me do eventually, I just can't connect to wifi). I have no idea if this is an issue with my DS itself or with my cartridge, but I'm really hoping someone can help me because I really don't want to have to buy a new system or a new cartridge.

Just in case this is relevant, I've had both my 3DS and my copy of ACNL since 2013, so both of them have been used a lot (but neither has any visible damage, and I've only dropped my 3DS a handful of times). Also, it's a 3DS XL in case that makes any difference in identifying the issue

Sometimes we must turn off the wireless to make the saving work.

How do you normally play your 3ds? Do you just play animal crossing on it? Do you leave it in sleep mode when not using it or turn it off?

or

- do you have issues saving only when visiting other towns/being visited/using wifi?

OK SO I fixed the internet problem but I'm still unsure if the saving thing is an issue because it only happens sometimes so we'll have to see
