NookLink Confusion

So, I wanted to convert a design from NL to NH using that one NookLink feature, but when I went on the app and went to change the user from my old island to my new one, I saw that only the player from my old island, which is using the same user account as my current one, was still there. Do you guys know if there's anything I can do about that? I have quite a few favorite designs from NL and HHD that I'd love to have in NH.

I think the solution is to talk to Tom Nook in the settings (by pressing - on the title screen) to ask him to link your current character to the app

Ah, my bad! I just tried it and you were right! I forgot you had to manually set it up. Tysm!
