No special visitors?

hey,
i haven't had any special visitors like Redd, Katrina, Gracie, ... ever since Halloween or so.
occasionally Saharah and Gulliver pop up but that's about it.
does anyone know why?
i'm a bit worried it could be because i TT quite often, but that shouldn't matter right?
i got the TIY store 2 weeks ago, so i really want to pass the Gracie fashion checks and upgrade to the Emporium...
any thoughts??

I think you can blame it on the TT. I have seen all of them (except Gracie) at least 1 time since Halloween. Gracie is rare and might not appear for months. If you are keen on getting the 4 checks you'll need to travel back to the day she is in town, she'll be there again (at least they said that in another discussion thread).

I almost have my TIY, and when I meet Gracie I plan to travel back the next day. Surely going back 1 day won't have a dramatic effect on town. Especially not if I would play like it's a normal day and greet villagers and remove weeds. But not after I sold the turnips though.

Gracie isnt rare O.O She shows up once a week on a random day. It took me exactly 4 weeks to pass all the checks. But I guess that TTing messes her appearing schedule up :S

Yap, I think u miss them while TTing, I've met all of them. Even Gracie 3 times, need one more time to complete

It's just the luck of the draw. Sometimes you probably TT past them, but certain people that don't TT also have to wait a while to get special visitors too, so it's just the way the game works.

might stop time TTing for a while then and see if that works.
