I'm not sure if I accidentally created a perfect utopia, but no villager wants to move off my second switch island. No thought bubbles at all. Ive tried skipping 15 days ahead, skipping one day at a time, but they still happily mull about on my island. I have 9 villagers, and have no idea what I can do.

You could talk to Tom Nook and he will give you a plot that you can place down. Then you can go island hopping or just wait for a random move-in.

Not sure if it's a requirement but it could be because your town isn't full yet? The limit is 10 and you can still add one as the person above said. I think they should start to think about moving after that, it seemed to be that way for me as well!

I moved a villager out after my campsite villager, but it did take a while for anyone to ping me. But then again it always seems to take a while 🤣

From my experience, when it's time for someone to move, if one of my villagers has a thought bubble early in the day, and they DON'T ask to move (but ask for, like, a gift delivery or something), no one tends to ask again that day, unless much later after I've saved/reloaded the game (I can confirm they no longer always ask first thing, sometimes they offer after you've played and you reload it).

But maybe getting that last villager will help motivate someone to get out?

I'm not sure this is entirely still accurate. If you kick a villager out with the campsite, a villager can still ask you to move out the next day. Also, I've had the same villager ask me 3 times in a row to move out with nobody else asking me.

I admittedly didn't pay much attention to the rest of the guide. I was mostly just replying to the assertion that a villager will only ask to move out when your island is at max capacity. That is 100% false. I know that from experience since I was stuck at 6 villagers for weeks while waiting for all the villager bugs to get sorted out, and I had move out requests during that time.

All I know is that the info in the guide is directly from the datamines. I know that they were done a while ago, and not everything was 100% ironed out, so it's possible that there's other stuff at play/stuff that wasn't interpreted correctly/stuff that occurs because of bugs/etc. Maybe the campsite doesn't reset the counter and only natural move-outs do?

Campers don't reset the time outs. I don't know if this was intended but they don't.

I can confirm a camper moving in and replacing another villager doesn't reset the time out. Had someone asking to leave after I invited Violet from the campsite on my previous island.
