Either I'm doing super good or really bad.
I haven't received any rumors and I've been quitting and coming back for them to ping me, but none of them have.
I've been writing letters a lot more, so hopefully that's helping.
I'm just so used to everyone pinging me every other day to leave.
Any advice or can you relate?
Fear not! Sometimes it can take several days for a villager to want to move. I've had to wait 7 days before someone wanted to leave before. Just make sure you're talking to all of your villagers, and you should be fine
I've waited 8 days for a mover to ping. Those ones freak me out.
Also had movers 3 days in a row. That's too many.
Talking to the villagers inside their house to get rumor talk or rumor movers helps. I bug those villagers during an bug or fish off to get the rumor mover out of the way. Most of the time they sell out the mover.
I do keep track of the rumor talk and only get worried with the 8 day ones.
I dont think ive ever had an instance where someone pinged me to move within a day or two of someone else leaving :s it usually takes around 5-7 days of time traveling before I finally hear something
Usually, it takes 5 days for a villager to ask to leave. Sometimes, it can take 6 or 7. When it takes 6 or 7 days, another villager tends to ask to move 2-3 days later, perhaps to make up the extra days it took. Remember to talk to your villagers often and see if they mention someone wants to leave, and save, quit, and check again to make sure no one is going to ping. Sometimes villagers will not ping you the first time so you need to save and quit and then get back on. Also, occasionally they won't ping your mayor character and will only ping a side character. It's scary when that happens and a lot of work, but you have to do everything in your power to keep your favorite villagers in town.
There are times where I'd had no pings, but after a few conversations later a villager will just randomly mention that someone is moving. THEN the villager will ping me.
Resetting the game can also initiate pings in a moving villager that won't let you know the first attempt.
I usually get a mover every 4-6 days. Sometimes it's longer but not often, it's quite rare in my town to last a week without somebody pinging to leave. I start to worry and question myself after reaching 5 days. Sometimes I've missed a ping completely but there's still been a mover, who I only found out about due to speaking with other villagers and them telling me. I lost Genji due to the fact he didn't ping me at all and I was tting so didn't chat to the villagers (have him back now)
It could be all those mentioned above or.. Well, another possibility is that it might be a villager that you have a low friendship with. These wont even tell you or the people in your town and would just appear in boxes on their moving day. That's what I've learnt through cycling
If this happens to me after a few days I'll start chatting up my normal villagers(I know other personalities can tell you as well, but my normal ones usually tell me asap) and they'll let me know is someone is moving and if there isn't someone moving they'll say that note about starting rumors, etc.
The event of somebody moving in game isn't always precise or accurate so it's not always 5 days after another that somebody will ask to move. Or atleast from what i've experienced in game. My movers pings can range from 5 days or more to a day after somebody else moves in. There's not exactly a specific length of time that somebody will ping to move out. For me, I usually get mover pings when I least expect it. No worries though, it should be fine as long as you're talking to all of your villagers vigorously each day nobody should try to do a surprise move out on you. You'll probably get a ping soon though. Good luck!
I've had this happen to me many times. I have villagers pinging me to move out every day or every other day. Sometimes if I'm lucky, it'll be 3 days.
When you notice no one has been pinging you, talk to each villager once. My boyfriend had Static wanting to move out but wouldn't ping him no matter what he did. It wasn't until he talked to Static, saved and quit, and then he finally pinged. If you don't talk to a villager for a while (say a week for example), they won't ping you as much.
I personally always start up the game and walk around until someone pings me. Every time you start up the game, there will almost always be a villager pinging you about something (moving, change catchphrase, nickname, etc.). If I notice no one pings me, I'll walk into a villager's house and talk to them. They're more likely to mention rumors when a villager is in their house. Try to have your pockets full of flowers so they won't try to buy/sell something to you.
