No, no where is it???

I took my ACNL cartridge out to play Tomodachi Life (addicted to it), went to look for it to put it back in and it's gone! I left it on my bedside table but now it's not there! I'm thinking my cat could've knocked it off but i haven't found it yet. I hope it's not lost for good....all the hard work i put into Oakleaf over the past year...my fave villagers Lucy, Pashmina and Biskit...my lovely house! I'll keep looking and hope it reappears but for now i think i'm gonna have to start over. So gutted

We're currently packing to move right now, and the day before I got my town I couldn't find the card. I realized I had probably accidentally put the cover in a box without knowing the actual game was inside. I looked in tons of boxes and finally found it. Scary to think that it could have been transferred to the other house ; - ;
