Because if it truly was a success they would've kept them up and announced more to come. It's a *censored.1.2* mistake to just take them down if they were doing well.

Nintendo always keeps their plans secret. They wouldn't tell if they're going to do it again. =p Plus, they're probably waiting until Mega Man 10 and Sonic 4 come out to do it with them.
