No luck catching bugs.

So...I started my town today and I'm trying to do the thing for Isabelle where you need to catch bugs, I've had no luck whatsoever finding any and I can't cancel it or change it to fishing - What do I do?

Do the nooklings sell a shovel today? I think your best bet would be mole crickets, pill bugs, wharf roaches maybe bees if you feel up to the challenge!

I've managed to get a bagworm and a pill bug, no luck with the mole cricks and wharf roaches aren't out yet (atleast I dont think :s)

Not many bugs or fish appear in the winter. But, you'll have better chances of catching them at the island. Just upgrade your house two times and you'll have access to it. Or you can ask a friend that is in a different month to catch some.
