Did it ever happen to you that you had a villager in your mind you really want or even put a list a whole list of dreamies..

But then once you actually found this villager, invited him from other villager (or campsite) and finally finished that painful process of search. He is in your villager, you go visit him, but you simply didn't like him anymore? There is no sparkle, no love from first sight, no butterflies in stomach, nothing!

Feel free to post any dreamie/no-dreamie stories!

As my experience, Gaston caught my eye long time ago, and as I didn't have any Cranky villager I thought he would be perfect..A rabbit with moustache! I have been looking for him for 2 days. Finally found him, but I didn't fell in love with him at all like I did with my other villagers..Eh..I'm sorry Gaston, give me your PWP and you can leave :<

Merengue in my old town (before I reset). I fell in love when I first saw her online, but once she popped up on my campsite and I had her in my town for a while, she just seemed a little bland :/ Not sure why.

It goes with all things in life; people find things more appealing the more they know they can't have them. I think that goes with a lot of villagers like Marshal too. Part of his popularity comes from the fact that he's brutally hard to get.

you like them better when you don't have them.

I dont know if that is it. Funny cause day before I had Henry move in. I screwed up plot resetting and he placed his house in place not where I wanted him to. So I thought, its okay, I find other smug.. But once two days after, especially after I saw that he changed his tee to the once I spent him. I was in love with him! I don't leave at all now. I think I can live with house behind my town hall.. Now I would be sad if he left :S

Yea, I wonder if many people got this with Tier 1 villagers.. They just like them cause they are popular? I saw once someone's dreamie list and it was literally only Tier 1 villagers? Coincident?

I was debating between Zucker and Drago but I ended up with Drago and I'm very glad I did since Drago is really cute. I hadn't seen Zucker ingame at that point but I later saw him and he looks just creepy.

Aaah so happy I ended up with Drago lol. xD

I kinda had the reverse thing with Stitches. I invited him because he was so popular but I ended up liking him. But then I traded him for Marshal + Merengue, my top two dreamies! (I don't regret it at all. At least I have Stitches in my shopping street now!)

That happened with Lucky. I'd originally wanted Ankha and Lucky for my ancient themed town but when I finally got Lucky, I oddly didn't like him as much, and when I visited Ankha in my friend's town...geez, I dunno, their designs are so cool and yet I didn't make a connection with them for some reason.

I have all 3 in my side town of Anur Transyl but only 2 will get to stay (Stitches and Merengue) Marshal will be leaving the moment he pings, and will be given to someone who actually likes him, because I don't.

I also have Drago in my main town of Neo Mercury!

They aren't popular because they are tier 1! They are tier 1 because they are popular! >__<

PS.: I invited Stitches so I could trade him away for a dreamie if that wasn't clear. Not because I wanted him because he is popular...

That's exaclty what happened with Hamlet. I fell in love with him when I saw him on the cover of the game, and then I saw him again in my nephew's campsite (but he got 10 villagers so cannot invite him).

I have been looking for him for maybe a week, and then, finally got him.
But when I started to look at him walking in my town.. I was a little disappointed..
Like "mehh... you'r not that cute actually :("

The same goes for me with Julian. Invited him only because he was popular and with him I was able to get a dreamie, but I ended liking him xD

Yes, and no. I wanted Bianca very badly. Felicity had just moved out, and I felt the peppy personality wasn't fitting for Bianca. Now she's wearing my town shirt I made specifically for villagers...and I love her much more!

With Dora... She moved in randomly, and I adore her and would hate for her to leave... But there are just so many pretty or cute normal villagers like Gala, Merengue, and Marcie. Maybe I'll like her better after she takes off that butt-ugly shirt someone sent her. xD

I was this way with Bluebear! Don't get me wrong, she is totally adorable but I just didn't click with her when she finally moved in :(

That is how is suppose to be, but I'm sure there are case that some people like them just only because there are popular..
And then back to the topic. What I wanted to say is that you want this villager cause he is popular, you invited him to your town, but few days later all the charm of it is gone

Omg I hate when this happen with shirts.. I stopped delivering any packages! Sorry babies I'm not a postman anymore!

I've never had this happen to me -- probably because I've never tried to buy a villager or really had a "dreamie". I only have villagers that I came into contact with out of chance as I played the game. While I don't have many mega-popular villagers, I am so happy with all of them and I can definitely recall being excited about each one from the moment I met them!

Perhaps my favorite villager moment was about a week after the game was released in which a villager moved their house 3 spaces in front of mine, though slightly offset to the right as well. I was so upset that my house was blocked by a new villager and vowed to get this intruder out of my town. The very next day I met the newcomer: Henry. I fell in love with him in spite of his house location, and at this point if he ever left my town I'd probably break down and quit the game. I think that if I had sought out Henry specifically based on his appearance and whatnot I would not have liked him nearly as much as I do. Half the fun is in the fact that it was so random!

Henry got his charm! He caught me with it too! I screw up plot reseting and he placed his house randomly.. I thought I will just let him go.. But I cannot now! Henry please never leave!

This happened to me with Cookie! I had her in my old town, before I reset, and once I got her, her eyes kind of creeped me out! I don't mean to be rude or anything, but I just could not get over her eyes!

I spent weeks looking to buy/adopt Lopez, and I spent hours cycling smugs and plot resetting and camp resetting for him. Then he showed up in my town, and I liked him, but Julian moved in and I liked Julian a lot more, and I can't really stand having two smugs in my town. So when he pinged to move I let him.
I really just wanted him because he shares a name with a character from Red vs Blue.
